21.01.2022 Here I go again....bragging about the beauty of natures palette of colours. How lucky am I? I get to play with those colours everyday if I choose to. Sauce day. My Mum's mustard sauce, my roasted capsicum sauce and Sally's plum sauce. Feeling a tad blessed here at VKP. By the way, Castlemaine Farmers' Market on Sunday. See you there.

18.01.2022 Hi everyone. After a big day in the kitchen cooking ready for tomorrow and still organising Christmas, (yes, it takes us a bit to organise ourselves), Cindy is heading to the market tomorrow at Bendigo Community Farmers' Market, The good Loaf bakery. She has got a few boxes with more specials and if you ask nicely she will do an extra bargain if you buy 2 specials. We are having a clean out to get ready for Christmas. Enjoy the stunning day all.

15.01.2022 Cindy and I both got a laugh out of some garlic delivered to us from Kingfisher Citrus where they grow lots of it and send us the garlic they don't bottle due to its size, colour, or it might be damaged. It's kind of in their writing now! They realise at VKP we can take 'crap garlic' and turn it into something awesome for them. Roasted Garlic Balsamic. NICE! Thanks guys. Love your vote of confidence in us.

14.01.2022 Hey all. I am feeling a tad chuffed at the moment. Kim, from Heathcote Tourist Centre has made a display area for our Sebella range of hampers where the ingredients used, are as local to Bendigo as we can get with very low miles. Plus, our Spirit Fire Salt is now packaged with the story of how it came about. Take a look at the photo's and please share our post so we can show people some of what Bendigo has to offer. We are starting Bendigo Marketplace early Monday morning ready with all our Christmas goodies. See you all up there.

14.01.2022 Morning. Had a tad of a crises re a painkiller with codeine in it. I know my daughter and a sibling who can't have it. Looks like me also. But, back on track, feeling better and not like a space cadet cowboy. Beetroot balsamic glaze (check out that awesome colour), is on the go and now for that morning walk. Thanks Cindy for taking the reigns in the kitchen yesterday. Have a great day everyone.

11.01.2022 Morning. Can anyone help us out please? We require over-locking thread to use for our Not for profit, community fundraiser that we will be doing at our Christmas Popup shop Bendigo Marketplace. We don't care what color as we will be simply grateful just for your donation. Hopefully, we can keep E.J.Green busy till then with making bags for the project. 100% of proceeds will be used to assist in making wigs for people who require them after treatments. Please help by cleaning out your cupboards and yelling out to us. Any old sheets or curtains suitable to make bags out of also. Thanks everyone

09.01.2022 A Thursday shopping trip for supplies! But, 1st port of call was my cousins place for morning cuppa. It was hard to shift the butt into shopping mode when relaxing with her, Janine Major, and adorable outdoor area where we sat and chatted. Check out my view! Stunning!

07.01.2022 Big shout out of thanks to the guys Flower Power Soul Food, I am enjoying my 'proper' chai on almond milk every arvo. Grateful plus.

06.01.2022 This charcoal is from 3 different occasions all dealing with fire. Some is from 2 spirit fires on Kangaroo Island, both of which were part of a gathering on country of the Ramindjeri nation. I had the privilege of attending both. The third lot is from the bushfires this year on KI where i went to assist with wildlife in February. Each and all of these occasions has left a profound mark and blessing on my soul. These 3 ashes represent the past, the present and all fires have been part of a healing of the land there. These will now become the base for Spirit Fire Salt which will be going into Indulge Hampers will be organising for their City of Gastronomy hampers this Christmas. I am feeling just a tad humble this afternoon with being able to work with them.

05.01.2022 Guess where we are tomorrow........photos might give a hint. See you there.... Bendigo Marketplace

03.01.2022 Lets all share, pay it forward and barter. The guys from Huntly Organics who go to Bendigo Community Farmers' Market, have just left with some gorgeous rhubarb corms, mint and horseradish plants. I hope they grow and grow heaps. They left behind some yummy salad greens, dill, broad beans, coriander and leeks. I am loving my job because i have gotten to share now more than ever before.

03.01.2022 Slave driver/briber Ninny reporting to you. Lakotah, grandaughter, slept over last night. I got her labelling before she was allowed to get out of bed. Bribed her with a trip to Bunnings to buy some flower seeds. Love my job!
