05.01.2022 What a wonderful new chapter So excited to be a small part of the fabulous Terrey Hills Emporium. @terreyhillsemporium . Thank you Rebecca and Janet for welcoming me in so warmly . Pop in to see my first selection of vintage dresses for sale. From 1950s sundresses through to 1980s party dresses. So many other treasures to be found here - Antiques, furniture, handmade baby products through to beautifully designed summer clothes by Janet Lorraine. A small dream was realised today and I felt Grace, my darling angel next to me every step of the way #supportlocal #vintagestyle #vintagedresses #northernbeachesstyle #smallbusinesssupport #pittwater #vintagesundress #antiquesforsale #retrostyle #smalldreams #northernbeacheslocalbusiness #newchapter #shoplocal #lovevintage

03.01.2022 Sometimes I wonder what it is about vintage dresses that I love so much. Yes it’s the colour, the cuts, patterns and designs but mostly I think it’s the story behind them. The designers and also imagining the people who wore them. Whilst hanging this gorgeous elegant 1950s Gay Gibson dress today at The Terrey Hills Emporium, I thought what’s the story behind this dress? How has it travelled over from Kansas City, Missouri where it was made to Terrey Hills? Who were the women... who have worn and owned it? So many historic events since it was created. Now it hangs ready for its next owner. I have always loved the idea that vintage dresses are just wanting to be taken out again for a walk in the sunshine or for an evening adventure so I’m crossing my fingers that someone sees this dress and takes it out again. These dresses aren’t meant to be hung in wardrobes but to be taken out and admired The Terrey Hills Emporium #vintagestyle #vintagedress #lovevintage #buylocal #northernbeacheslocalbusiness #gaygibson #1950sfashion #buynothingnew #vintageshop See more
