18.01.2022 A throw back to a sign I did for a family with generations of firefighters among them. #firefighterfamily #firefighterlove Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the devastating bushfires that have destroyed over 71 homes in the Perth Hills. To all firefighters and first responders ..... - what would we do without your bravery, courage, determination, hardwork and dedication!? Thank you, thank you! ... And to the families who have lost so much, I have no words. So, so sad. Unimaginable.

15.01.2022 Another sign completed .....

15.01.2022 Another sign completed. This customer ordered it for her husband’s library- and libraries always make me think about history. Now in these photos, there is SO much history. The piano is my mums which we brought all the way from South Africa. It still has ivory keys and we had to get special permission for it to enter Australia. My mum got it second hand as a gift from her dad when she was 10 years old. We suspect it to be approximately 90 years old. ... The first inscription in Dutch Bible was made 128 years ago. A family heirloom passed from father to son. And the photos on the piano were taken of my dad in his army days in South Africa in the 1950’s. The little doll bed on which the Bibles stand is my sisters and is probably 46 years old. I always wonder if precious pieces like these could talk, what stories they would tell. ?

09.01.2022 Happy Sunday everyone..........................with VALENTINES DAY coming up we painted this very cute sign. Sending a special message to your person.

07.01.2022 Sawdust and Stitches has started to get so busy that I’ve had to get some help with the painting of the signs. And who better than my daughter Lindi. So everyone meet Lindi, Lindi meet everyone. Lindi is 19 years old and in 2021 she will be in her third year of studying a degree in Psychology. She’s been helping me for a while and it amazes me that being a lefty, she manages to paint the fine details that some signs require. Lindi Mynhardt

06.01.2022 Ready for collection - a customer requested these interchangeable wooden painted images - how clever to change them according to the season.

02.01.2022 - - - something nobody likes right?!

02.01.2022 What a few weeks this has been, to say its been hectic is an understatement. Soooo many things happened in a couple of weeks - My oldest son writing Year 7 exams (ask me anything about Australian Economics and Ancient China), my youngest graduating Primary School, arranging my oldest daughters baby shower (which was awesome by the way, added photos to show you), last weeks at my work (a school) before end of term, Christmas dinners, 60th birthday parties wow wee what a... whirlwind. And now this afternoon NOTHING except this... bliss! I apologise for the last few people waiting so long for me to complete their signs. But I’m focused on them now and will be in contact soon xxx
