20.01.2022 October 30th 1965 On 1965 Derby Day at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, Australia, English model Jean Shrimpton wore a white minidress that sparked controversy and was later described as a pivotal moment in womens fashion. The dress was made by Shrimptons dressmaker, Colin Rolfe, and its hem was a daring 4 in (10 cm) above the knee because he had not been supplied with enough fabric to complete their intended design.

16.01.2022 The Forgotten Drought Its awesome news to say our committee has jumped on board with Heyfield Lions Club (a town next to us) and are donating 50% of our profit from our event to them. Our area has been in severe drought (record low rainfalls) and the Heyfield Lions Club have been out supporting our drought effected farmers in our area by visiting farmers, giving out information packs, suppling hay and doing free community dinners in drought areas. A huge credit to them. ...Now how can you can help the Heyfield Lions and our area. When a farmers makes 100% they give back 110% to the town so our towns have suffered by farmers not spending so one way is staying a weekend in our region and visiting our little towns (one cute town is a must to visit called Briagolong which has a beautiful vintage shop) , another way to help is donating directly to the Heyfield Lions Club (Follow the link below ) or you could stop by the Heyfield Lions Club food stand and buy a hot roll and soft drink at the festival. 14.01.2022 Rosedale has done a amazing job creating window displays from 10,000 donated poppies to celebrate 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1. The display starts off at Rustys at Rosedale where it combines the Poppy display with his incredible war memorabilia with then onto Little Fox Giftware & Collectables then through the town. Well worth a visit through November.

They are now at a critical point and are trying to raise awareness about the severity of this drought. This Sunday 50% of all profit of the market will go to Heyfield Lions Club - Supporting Gippsland Farmers -. They are doing a incredible job by visiting local farms daily and are putting on free dinners at local halls for our drought effected farmers. How can you help? 100% of the money from the show n shine is going directly to the Heyfield Lions Club and they also will be also cooking hot beef rolls down on Lyons Street to raise money for our local farmers and are taken donations. Drop by grab a roll and drink and have a chat.
