25.01.2022 Louise made the salon extra Christmasey today We all know how much I love Christmas so I’m totally on board with any extra decorations I can’t believe next Tuesday is the 1st of December That means only 19 days until I’m on maternity leave and it marks the 8th month of my pregnancy OMG where did that time go??? ... Merry Christmas Everyone I can’t wait to see you all for your last appointment with me before I’m off for 6 months

25.01.2022 Beautiful pregnant Ladies I highly recommend this course it changed my entire view on child birth I have to share this guys! Sorry it’s a long one! Rob and I did a Hypnobirthing course split over 2 Sunday’s the past couple of weeks. Like many I was initially sceptical and thought it was a load of crap but my midwife assured me it’s amazing and let me tell you she’s not wrong! ... I walked out the first class feeling prepared and excited so much of my fear and anxiety just disappeared! Rob did an amazing job and really surprised me he is going to make an amazing birth partner I am so proud of him!! There is so much misinformation around child birth and we are made to feel like we have to birth a certain way and often when your told a pregnancy and birth story people tell you to take all the drugs infact id say 80% of birth stories were negative when told to me which made me lose so much confidence in my ability as a woman to birth my baby naturally on my own. And I know what most of you are thinking you’ve never had a baby you don’t know and probably have a giggle to yourself which is fine I am also aware that an emergency can occur and throw a spanner in the works even still you can use hypnobirthing techniques! What I do know is that women have been birthing babies for hundreds of years and over time the stigma of pain has been attached to child birth which is why sadly now majority of people opt for either a C-Section or drugs without having faith in themselves at all or even being prepared to give it a go and work them selves into a sea of panic, stress and fear before anything has even happened! People in emergency and defence are trained and conditioned to be a certain way infact we all are! It’s the equivalent of me going I can’t do this hair cut I’m scared I might stuff up etc before I’ve even done it which is ridiculous!! We are taught skills and strategy’s our brains are rewired to have faith in ourselves and know we are competent in our craft so why should birthing be any different?? My educator Edriana was induced and had complications in her birth and still practiced hypnobirthing and rocked it You can use these tools in every day life and with any form of birthing as well but my hope is to give women what I was just given the ability to believe in myself and my body after all that’s why I’m designed to do! I will share my experience once the baby is born in Jan and be open and honest as to how using my new skills went but to be honest if all I end up using is the skills I was taught to believe in myself and have the anxiety and fear go away I consider it time and money well spent Enlightened Birth and Beyond

21.01.2022 Valued Clients, Unfortunately I am not in the salon this week due to illness, Rob and I spent almost 8 hours in hospital waiting until about 3am this morning, due to me having severe dehydration and not being able to keep anything in my body. Don’t worry I haven’t got Covid 19 however I was diagnosed with a stomach bug and am contagious I am currently back home on bed rest.... I have been messaging all clients already booked offering a different stylist or to reschedule to next week. I will slowly get back to everyone throughout the day and apologise for all inconveniences I have caused. Kind Regards Sam

19.01.2022 Happy Monday Everyone! | GENERAL UPDATE | Who else is excited the pageant is this weekend?? That = putting up the Christmas tree and watching National Lampoons Christmas Vacation!... I also have the honour of doing hair for a beautiful bride who’s wedding I have been waiting for, for what seems like years Can you believe it’s 6 weeks until I go on Maternity Leave?? I can remember doing a double take in the toilet when my pregnancy test came up positive Baby S and I are doing much better today and my poor belly is on the mend! 16.01.2022 What a send off today I am so incredibly fortunate to work along side such lovely ladies! I felt so overwhelmed by all the decorations, flowers and gifts Thankyou so much to Lisa, Louise and Megan for such a lovely surprise this morning. 14.01.2022 Check out our makeup artist Chloe We went from grown out foils to a beautiful balayage, we created a money piece around the face and added depth to give the hair dimension and doesn’t it make her beautiful blue eyes pop Lastly I toned down the blonde to more of a natural beige/sandy colour to create softness and more of a natural feel.... Love this on you so much I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend I know I sure am! 14.01.2022 2021 Mummas I was so empowered and inspired by this course! I highly recommend doing it regardless of how many babies you have had, I especially recommend it if you have had a negative birthing experience. ... Knowledge is power, get yourself educated,learn to understand your body,be in control of your own birth and baby I cannot WAIT for the birth of Baby S and practice what I learnt as much as I can! It’s so much better than feeling terrified like I did before I did this course

I now have a covid safe code to scan in, please let me know if you would rather hand write your details. These are very busy weeks for me and it would be greatly appreciated if you could please be on time for your appointment and where possible come alone due to numbers allowed in salon and if you wish to change your services to something different please let me know ahead of time just incase Im unable to do so Also I’m doing a bit more of a waddle these days The back, leg and feet pain are definitely kicking in due to the longer back to back hours so your understanding that I may take a little longer than usual would be greatly appreciated. 10.01.2022 Massive Makeover Bec started out as a new client I met through Rob, some times when you’re lucky enough you just click with someone and 3 years later you’re good friends, doing hair is just a bonus When I started with Bec in my chair I was barely allowed to cut off half a centimetre so you can imagine my hesitation when a few months ago Bec was like I want to cut my hair off... needless to say I made her think about it for a few weeks The end result is stunning, enjoy your new hair beautiful Bec loving it on you girl, definitely the best looking electrician I know
