24.01.2022 I'm back! As mentioned in my last post we were in the process of looking for a new rental property. It took 2 and a half months to find one and now 3 months after the dramas started I'm working from my new home office. The time away from work to look after my mental and physical health through the property search and moving process has given me a lot of time to think. I'm ready and raring to go to make the second half of the year totally kickass.... Stay tuned for some sneak peeks at a range of different sites currently in progress. 24.01.2022 Minimalist E-commerce I'm working on a couple of different e-commerce websites at the moment with two very different look and feels. With this one I'm going for a very clean minimalistic look to complement the muted brand colours and allow the products to stand out. (note images are placeholders only) I'd love to know what your favourite ecommerce stores are and why you like them.

24.01.2022 I'm sick of waiting! I am so so excited to release the first look at Felementary Designs rebrand that has been in the works for the last couple of months. First phase: New name, colours and logo!! We're now known as Violet Bombshell Web Solutions or just Violet Bombshell for short. ... Between today and the end of the year I will be slowly revealing new aspects of the brand culminating in a whole new website and services on offer. P.S The page name will change when Facebook finally approve the update.

23.01.2022 As part on my plans to provide a greater range of services and more flexible hosting for my clients I am relocating to an Australian based Web host. As a result the Felementary Designs website will be offline this weekend. Don't worry we will be back up and running soon. I have some sneak peeks of new websites coming up over the next couple of weeks. I'm also busily working on a rebrand for the business which I'm super excited about! I can't wait to share that journey over the next few months.

23.01.2022 How do you work through anxiety and overwhelm ? Normally I'm a binge and kinda gal but this week has been different. It's week 4 of the @annacreativementor 2020 Visionary course and we've started to get serious about our 2020 goals. Last week started laying the foundations which spark the entirely unhelpful internal monologues that lead to self doubt.... I've also got my brand photoshoot with @realbrookleighphotography next week. Which I'm super excited about but also super nervous about. Instead of crumbling under the weight of self doubt and listening to the mean voices trying to hold me back I've fought back. I'm working my way through two different 2020 content planning challenges (by @basicgirlmarketing and @steviesayssocial). Which will have the double use of helping write the copy for my new website. I've also spent the last two days doing a frak load of I often refer to myself as a modern day 1950's housewife. But the truth is I kinda suck at keeping house. I love a neat and tidy home but don't have the spoons to keep it that way. So when I do clean there's a lot to do. I think I'm up to load No7 through the washing machine since yesterday morning. The anxiety and overwhelm hasn't reduced but I've achieved a lot this week. Right now I'm in the bath about to do some client work before getting back to planning for 2020. 21.01.2022 With only a few weeks left we're starting to fine tune the layout, perform functionality testing and begin SEO set up on the Pretty Neat Kids website. An ecommerce site dedicated to keeping your kids toys neat and tidy whilst looking beautiful and being super functional. Not to mention the addition of decals and canvas prints in some adorable patterns. I know I'll be picking up some items from this store when I can decide on what theme to choose.... 19.01.2022 Bringing life to my new branding got sidetracked by bringing this little guy into the world. William Riker b. 31/7/20 at 31+6 via emergency c-section due to pre-eclampsia. He spent a long 6 weeks in the special care nursery before we got to bring him home. I'm still technically on maternity leave until early December but I'll slowly be showing up on the socials in the meantime.... 2020 has certainly been a roller-coaster of a year. How is everyone holding up? What are you most looking forward to in 2021?

15.01.2022 Most websites these days are no longer static pages that are built and left untouched for years. They need regular updates to keep visitors coming back. This site was launched last year, knowing changes would be made this year. There were a few areas that were thrown together quickly just to get the site up. Now that the client has had more time to collect content we've revisited the homepage and image galleries to give them a fresh new look and improved usability.... I'm loving the new image gallery plugin I found - FooGallery and FooBox. It makes creating albums and galleries super easy with so many different gallery types and easy styling options. See more

05.01.2022 Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone celebrating today. For those not celebrating I hope you've had an enjoyable day doing what makes you happy. We've had a busy two days cooking up a storm and entertaining my side of the family for lunch today. My little elf got a bit overwhelmed with so many people around but he's loving all his presents. He has been thoroughly spoiled.... 03.01.2022 Does your family have any Christmas traditions? Each year we've been together Matthew and I have bought ornaments for our tree. With Jean-luc coming along last year he gets to choose an ornament as well. These are this years ornaments; the blue star is mine, the tree is Matthew's and JL chose the rainbow love is love heart. The two white stars were bonus ornaments as we lost our 2017 ones to the cats. ... The other tradition we have is looking at Christmas lights. Each Saturday night in December we head out for a drive with Christmas carols playing on the radio. See more
