10.01.2022 PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! If you have no intention of turning up to an appointment or know you are not going to make it please notify me asap, wether thats a day before or 10 minutes before. I don't care if its because your great aunt Gemima is in hospital or you are just too darn lazy to get out of bed that morning, the point of the matter is giving me a no show is just not acceptable. My time is just as valuable as yours and the amount of no shows I've had the last 3 weeks is j...ust so disrespectful and is really beginning to be a problem. I don't want to vent or come across as unprofessional but quite frankly, if I were to just not be home at the time of your appointment and give you no notice that would NOT be ok, so why is it ok to do it to me? I have 2 children that rely on me to provide them with food on the table, school fees, dancing fees etc so when you don't show, I miss out twice. Yes I love what I do, and it's not all about money but at the end of the day theres just no excuse for common decency and respect. I don't think I'm asking a lot? You get a notification booking at the time of booking AND A NOTIFICATION THE DAY BEFORE!!! I've even sent messages the morning of to confirm also and have STILL been met with no shows. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE-NO EXCUSES! Those who no show to appointments with no contact will be required to pay a 50% deposit for any future appointments-no exceptions. For all those clients who have been on time, turned up and/or notified me prior to an appointment, I appreciate the heck out of you and the respect is mutual! Rant over! xx

09.01.2022 I can relate SO HARD to this. I can't look at the makeup photos I take any longer than a couple of minutes because I begin to pick apart my work or take the photo i posted down because it's not good enough or compare myself to all the amazing artists around bunbury (shoutout to brit at The LOOK, girl you are fire, I aspire to be as amazing, successful and talented as you one day and have mad respect for your work! <3 ) Make-up Artistry has always been my creative outlet and... the one thing that always brings me so much joy. During the early days of my self taught career I took every opportunity I could to learn everything about makeup. Although my skills werent where I would have liked it to be, I never allowed it to stop me from taking on clients for free or cheaply. However, Once I became qualified It felt like a whole different pressure was on me and as the industry has grown so has my anxiety with clients. I don't doubt my talent has grown over the last few years but I still get so anxious every time a client sits in that chair because I am SO.DAMNED.WORRIED you won't like the final outcome or more commonly I won't be happy with it myself. As of late I am trying my best to break away from the negative thoughts that hold me back from stepping out of my comfort zone. I try my best not to let social media and the comparison game consume me. Instead, I follow MUAs whose work I admire and inspires me, as well as provide amazing tips to navigate this ever changing industry. Im pretty private when it comes to my personal struggles with doing what I love but the constant battle I have with myself over it so being vulnerable online is a huge deal for me. However, my goal in writing this post is to help not only myself but to help other artists who are also going through a similar situation. So shoutout to all my Bunbury business babes no matter how talented or well-trained you are, nerves can always creep in on you in this industry so don't stop letting your ideas and talents go to waste due to lack of confidence you've got this! We used a gentle technique so as to only lift the lashes closer to the root for a deeper curl, because as we can see she already has some KILLER lashes, but we wanted to avoid any over curling and causing them to essentially be permed straight up.
