03.01.2022 It’s been a busy week with lots of help .... Thank you everyone. Barry and Tim helped collect donated shelving from Campion in Drouin. (Thanks Matt for linking ...us to this resource) The shipping container was delivered to Morwell Central to be painted. Thanks Jo and Janice for being there with Lindel and Michael with the two classes .. to share the excitement. John and Russell put shelves together, Jeff and Cathy started categorising the non fiction and Liz sorted fiction into junior and senior. Richard taped up cardboard boxes. THE SHELVES ARE FILLING... In my garage at the moment! It is about the capacity of a shipping container. Grey St Primary put their hand up to help, thanks James for your enthusiasm for getting things going there. Out of this WIN news has linked many others who want the opportunity to support the project. And quietly and consistently working in the background for months, there is the fundraising group from the staff at Morwell Central .... Those that know me wouldn’t be surprised that I’m so emotional about how generous people can be to support a remote school in Kenya that needs a lot of help. I have a photo on my laptop screen that reminds me daily of the ‘why’ to see two young children at 7:00am in the morning reading a newspaper (as there were no books available). SO eager to learn to read! And together we can change the world.
