23.01.2022 Good Morning Vipers Families, Thanks Cheronne for the information below, save me a job. Please meet where your coach//manager has informed you for warm up 30Mins prior to game time. Please note that there will be limited parking available and we are only permitted 1 coach/1 Manager(scorer) and 1 supporter per player courtside. Ensure you have the Vipers Dress, Vipers socks and Vipers/plain black Bummers - This is mandatory uniform requirements please. For those attending for... the first time Downey Park Netball Association Northey St & Green Terrace Windsor You will all be required to checkin/out before and after each game and Vipers will be using our QR Code as per trainings. Please consider downloading the EVA Checkin app as this makes the process quicker for you. No sharing of waterbottles is permitted and sanitising before/after games is mandatory. There will be no tents and social distancing must be adhered to whilst not on the court. You can download MyNetball for all the fixtures - please see me if you need help with this app. (That’s Cheronne as I’m useless with this) All are asked to depart the venue once your game is finished to enable the grounds to be cleared for the next round of players. This is the current rules as per DPNA and would ask that you understand it will be new for all and hopefully that these restrictions will be not be in place for the whole season. Also please let your manager know if you would like to take photos during the game as they are required to check with the opposing team and DPNA do not allow Videoing under any circumstances. Super excited to get back to seeing you girls on the court and playing some great netball. LETS GET IT ON VIPERS!! (That part was me, hahaha)

22.01.2022 Our sponsors work van was stolen today. Please contact police if seen.

21.01.2022 Following the recent developments in South Brisbane related to COVID-19, we ask that anyone who may have been in the below locations at the identified times to not attend or participate in training or fixtures until they have completed the necessary period of self-isolation, and have returned a negative COVID-19 test. This is to ensure the ongoing health and safety of our broader community. We must be mindful, and remain honest for our sport to continue to operate safely.... Although we've waited longer than usual to get our season underway, the health of all participants is paramount, and cannot be put at risk. If you are a close contact of a confirmed or possible COVID-19 case, please follow all Queensland Health directives, and stay home (unless being tested). Here is some further information on impacted locations and contact tracing: https://www.qld.gov.au//cor/current-status/contact-tracing

17.01.2022 *IMPORTANT* DPNA | COVID UPDATE As you would be aware the State Government introduced some new Covid limitations last weekend. You may also be aware that Graceville netball courts has been added to the Qld Health Contact Tracing Information since last weekend. While these have not impacted us directly, the Government has re-emphasised a number of things we must closely adhere to. Firstly, we must maintain our PHYSICAL DISTANCING of 1.5m whenever we are not actually playing or... training or even waiting to enter the venue. This is particularly important for our Parents and Guardians and spectators. Please remember one spectator per participant. ENTRANCE AND EXITS to our venue are to be adhered to avoid potential crossover of participants and spectators as well as managing our numbers at any one round. It would be appreciated if all members and spectators respect these accesses and please remember the people enforcing these gates are volunteers. As a result of some recent positive Covid tests in the community, the Government have also emphasised the importance of RECORDING ATTENDANCE in public places and this applies very much at netball. Please ensure that the attachedAttendance Sheet or your Club’s QR Code is used for all attendees - players, officials and spectators. Please ensure that the Attendance Sheet has the correct date (many sheets are coming in with no date on them at all!) and all attendees IN and OUT times! Attendance records are required at training and fixtures until the season is over. You must let us know if you’ve had Contact with a positive Covid infected person or a close contact with someone who’s had a test, even if only as a precaution. Do not come to training or games if you have symptoms or have had a test and don’t yet have a result. Adhere to the GET IN PLAY GET OUT Philosophy arrive no earlier than 15mins prior to your game, leave immediately afterwards. Thank you for doing your part in abiding by our Covid Safe practices. With just 3 more weeks left, let’s keep up the great work to see out our 2020 Blast Season.

16.01.2022 Best wishes to all our DPNA players who are playing for Brisbane North Cougars in the 16 & 18 state champs starting today at Nathan. DPNA is well represented.

08.01.2022 A message from our Executive Committee regarding a location change for State Age 2021: Netball Queensland announced on Friday 18th December that State Age in 2...021 will no longer be at Pine Rivers Netball Association (PRNA) and will now be held at Sunshine Coast Netball Association (SCNA). Downey Park will be sending teams to SCNA, however, given the late chance in location, COVID and our already approved budgets/planning etc along with the current uncertainty we want to let our members know now that we will not be staying away and the pricing outlined in our published 2021 Rep Booklet will remain the same. See more

06.01.2022 An update for our representative community: Netball Queensland announced yesterday they will no longer be running the QPL competition in 2021. DPNA is aware of this decision and is being proactive on what we will be able to offer our current and potential QPL players in terms of a representative pathway. We will be in contact with our members early in the New Year, so in the mean time, enjoy the break and remember...for the love of netball.

06.01.2022 And that’s a wrap for 2020! Thanks DPNA for getting us all on the courts.

05.01.2022 You’re young, you’re small, and you’ve got energy to burn. It’s time to play netball with Suncorp NetSetGO. 7th Oct - 25th Nov, 2020 4pm -5pm Weekly Wednesday’s ... Aspley State School Horn Road Aspley Suncorp NetSetGO is Australia’s official starter program for girls and boys aged 5 to 10. It’s a chance to learn the netball basics, get outside and make some friends. For a lot of kids, this is the first time they’ll pick up a netball or chuck on a bib. It’s a learning experience. And a lot of fun. HOW DOES NetSetGo WORK: Suncorp NetSetGO is divided up into three tiers: Net, Set and GO. Where you start depends on your age and netball experience. As you move through the tiers, you’ll pick up more advanced netball skills. One week it might be passing drills and ball games, next it could be shooting and practice matches. All Suncorp NetSetGO sessions are led by a friendly netball coach, using equipment built specially for kids. Register here: http://www.vipersnetball.com.au/netsetgo-2020
