It can affect your pools pH balance and after a heavy rain, you also have a lot of extra water in the pool that can dilute the chemistry. After a heavy rain this is what you should do to avoid the pool to go green:... 1. Clean the pool: clean leaves and debris then vacuum the pool. You can use the pool cleaner to vacuum it or do it manually. 2. Check pH and Alkalinity Levels: acid rain can cause your pH to drop. 3. Check Sanitizer Levels: rain can often introduce contaminants to your water, and your sanitizer will start fighting them off. 4. Check Your Water Level: rain will add more water to your pool than whats needed. If you have an excess of water to your pool, you can drain it a little by using your filters waste setting. Just let the pool drain until its back at the normal level. 5. Check if the pool equipment and/or controllers are switched on or just pay attention if they are working as usual.
