16.01.2022 3 Common Plumbing Problems to look out for this Summer: It’s important that you protect your plumbing from serious summer problems. Here are some to keep an eye out for as the weather heats up: Clogged Sink ... With barbeques, pool parties and Christmas your sink is more than likely to see its fair share of clogs. That said, be sure that you’re keeping an eye on what’s going into your drain. Always remember to never pour oils down your drain. Burst water pipes When the ground cools down at night, your pipes can freeze. This can be prevented by wrapping your pipes with insulation. Hose clamps can help be used to cover up a leak until a professional plumber is able to come to assist you. Sewer line backups Summer rain and thunderstorms can cause a lot of water to make its way into sewer pipes via cracks and gaps causing sewer lines to back up. Sewer line backups can also be caused by tree roots. If you suspect your sewer line is backed up or broken, call a plumber immediately. If you need a professional plumber, we are always here to help! Do you have your bushfire plan in place? Are your gutters free from leaf litter? Do you have a sprinkler system installed?... Do you have hoses that reach the length of your property? Do you have a pool or water tank that the Firefighters can use should they need to? If so, placing a Static Water Supply on your front fence will alert them to the supply. Have you maintained your lawns and gardens? Have you cut any overhanging branches? Have you removed flammable items close to your home? This list is not extensive but is a start, for more information head to the Country Fire Authority link below: https://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/pla/how-to-prepare-your-property Prepare. Act. Survive.

08.01.2022 Gutter Maintenance Tip Save yourself the trouble of climbing ladders and clearing leaves gutters by installing a Leaf Eater. For as little as $30 from Bunnings, the Leaf Eater Original is the ultimate high performance rain head. Not only does it protect the home by preventing gutters from blocking and flooding eaves, the Leaf Eater Original also improves water quality and reduces tank maintenance. The Leaf Eater Original is ideal for use purely as a debris removing device even when rainwater is not being collected and incorporates a flow directional gutter outlet which directs the flow of water from the gutter onto the face of the primary screen.

They provide Crisis Cases, which are wheeled suitcases with approximately 30 items of clothing, toiletries, hand-made dolls and activity books which have been specially designed for children entering care. Transition Packages, which are a fully furnished and stocked home for young adults who are moving from care, families who have experienced domestic violence and families being reunified with children, to ensure them the best start possible.
