23.01.2022 A Melbourne Monday after ANOTHER restriction announcement. #groundhogday It’s bitter sweet really. But essentially our lockdown continues a little longer. I am so happy for the parents and kids who are going back to Face to face learning in October. I’m devastated for the ones that aren’t. ... I’m am excited to be able to meet some of my favourite people in a public place, but also realise not everyone is fortunate to have their favs within 5km. Especially on the peninsula. Where 5km really doesn’t get you very far. I’m stoked for the businesses who are able to operate again, real estate doing private inspections, personal trainers being able to train clients and improved their physical and mental state. I’m also so sad for the businesses still under the black cloud of unknown. I am sooooo hopeful that in three weeks our numbers will have continued to fall and we will actually meet the next milestone but I am anxious that people’s ability to maintain what we are ACTUALLY going through is going to just keep decreasing, which is how I am feeling. It’s so hard to stay at such a heightened state of response. We have endured so much. Personally, through business, loss, grief even. But our only option is to keep going. Here is my favourite thing about Covid. 1. Quality family time. We bought bikes. Like the rest of Australia it seems. And every day since we bought them we have gone for a family ride. On the weekends we go for a big ride and it is such a nice feeling knowing we don’t need to be anywhere else. Pre Covid, there were plans and visits and stress to get thing done on the weekend because it was the ONLY time we had. That pressure has gone a bit and it’s nice. Good luck over the next few weeks guys!

18.01.2022 Anyone else in Melbourne wake up today just feeling a little bit lighter? Like the burden of the past months was a little easier to carry? And this is only the beginning of our restrictions easing. It’s so hard to believe that we could soon be living like the other states! 02.01.2022 That FRIDAY F*CK YEHHHHH FEELING! The sun is already warm, and for 8am in Melbourne, that is a massive win. Our rolling 14 day averages are dropping like hot cakes. #closetofreedom ... Kids are back at daycare.... not going to lie.... that has been the best thing EVER! Grateful for another busy day, with amazing clients! In my head I am floating with a cocktail, on a blow up pool toy, somewhere way more tropical than Melbourne but hey, as each day goes by, we are one more step closer to that happening! See more
