25.01.2022 Running a business from home has a unique set of challenges that you dont get when you go into an office each day. I have been working out of my home for close to a decade now and felt compelled to share some insight into how I have made it work. This article is my HOW TO guide for setting yourself up with the best possible chance to thrive when running a business out of your home. . . . .... . #virtualassistant #workfromhome #solopreneur #brisbanebusiness #australianmade #gigeconomy #smallbusinesshacks #businesschicks #businesstips #remotework See more

24.01.2022 Greatest learning curve imaginable - running a business! a few ve e way... 1 Serve! Your business should be all about solving a problem for your client (not your clients buying what you have to sell)... 2 You wont have it ALL figured out (EVER) - not if you want to keep growing in new ways, its essential to embrace discomfort 3 Youve got to fail to grow. Period 4 The greatest skill you can have as a business owner is humility. Humility to take feedback, to learn, to take risks and to accept the highs as much as the lows 5 Pivot is not a 2020 buzz word. I have been pivoting in one way or another since 2010 6 Let go of what no longer serves you in your business and in your life (we hold on to things for too long, outdated pricing, services, business models, distribution, processes etc) 7 Listening to your customer is paramount and will NEVER go out of fashion 8 Think like a Rookie - thanks to @jongordon11 for this statement. Approach everything (and everyone) through unbiased eyes and always look for the learning 9 Get your back office systems working for you if you want to scale. Wasting time doing repeatable tasks is a sunk cost you cant afford 10 Get help as soon as you can! Trying to do it all will hold you back. Be sure to get help with your business as soon as feasibly possible I am curious, whats on your list? Kristy See more

24.01.2022 Last week my business clicked over 4 months and I am just about fully booked for September (as I was in August). Today, I want to share with you how I have used Instagram to grow my brand... But first, Id like to clear something up - Instagram didnt grow my business. I did. I simply used Instagram to do it and you can too! ... My biggest tip for small business owners is to stop thinking that Instagram is the strategy and instead use Instagram as a tool. Not sure what I mean? Look at it this way, a car isnt what gets you from Brisbane to Sydney. In fact, its experience + planning + vehicle + execution! For example, having a drivers license, fuel, GPS, taking time off work, food, having a car and of course getting behind the wheel and actually doing the drive. I have built Virtually Possible with 20 years of career + small business experience, careful planning, Instagram and relentless execution - in just 4 months. If you would like my help to grow your business, I have 2 Business Accelerator spots available for September. Click on the *book* button to lock in your discovery consult or visit the website for more info (link is in the bio). Honestly, I can not wait to get in and support you and help you discover the next steps to grow your business. Kristy See more

22.01.2022 If you are in business and use social media, this is a MUST WATCH. Would love your take aways here!

21.01.2022 Stop looking for quick wins! SAVE THIS POST When it comes to business there are none - it's a process.... It’s all about perspective. When you switch from 'achievement' as the key definer of success to 'growth' - everything changes. A few years ago I worked with a run coach and we used to do speed drills (I have slow muscle twitch so for me power and speed work is hard - give me endurance any day). And I remember saying to her " ' " Her reply.... " , ". You see, I thought I would acheive my goal when I could do it easily. But what I didn't realize is that week on week I was beating my PB despite it still being hard. When I stopped and reflected on how far I had came only then did I realize that I was making progress and there would never be an "arrival per-say. From that moment onward, after every session I felt successful (even though it was hard and I *felt* scrappy). I have revisited this conversation many times over the years and believe the same can be said for every aspect of my life (not just fitness). Parenting, Marriage and YES - Business. You see, every stage of business has it's challenges, not just when starting out, but as your business enters the growth phase too. If you focus only on achievement and not the progress you will never feel accomplished. You will never feel successful. And worst yet, it will hold you back from playing bigger. Jump in the comments - do you find it hard to feel successful when you're *in progress*? Kristy @ Brisbane, Queensland, Australia See more

20.01.2022 Words can not express the sadness we feel as a nation as we come to grips with the magnitude of loss and ongoing battle with the inferno ripping across the southern states of Australia. Loss of homes, bushland, infrastructure and worst of all life (human and wildlife). As the nation and the world take notice, one thing is for sure, people lead, they lead with their actions and Im proud of how many Australians have supported in the best way they can - by donating money to... reputable charities. Charities that are not only on the frontline, but will be there helping and supporting long after the blaze and media coverage die down. If you havent yet made a donation, I encourage you to please do. Even $5 would make a difference - every bit matters, counts and will have impact. Another way you can help, buy your clothes from a charity store or buy goods and services where sales or proceeds go to charity. If you are overseas, please consider supporting through a small donation (I have popped a list below), whilst this is happening in Australia its a global issue & we need collective help from our friends abroad. Thank you to all of the volunteers and firefighters who are risking their life on the frontline. Heroism in the truest form. Donations can be made through the following reputable places: @celestbarber @redcrossau @wwf_australia @wireswildliferescue @givit @nswrfs - Thank you Narin (@myhiddenforest ) for producing this beautiful artwork, it speaks a thousand words. #nswfires #nswbushfires #bushfiresaustralia #nswrfs #vicfires #australia #weareone #prayforaustralia #pleasedonate See more

19.01.2022 Are you leaving on the table? There are so many ways I see small business owners missing opportunities to create more income in their businesses. OK, so the biggest challenge that many of my clients are facing is *TIME* - so today I am going to share with you two ways in which you can free up time to bring in more .... SYSTEMS I get that systems aint sexy. But having the right systems + processes in place will: A/ Save money B/ Make money C/ Prevent loosing money Let me be honest. I can tell when a service provider is flying by the seat of their pants. They dont respond to enquiries in a timely way. They cant provide a quick turnaround. And, they miss simple requests because they are "too busy" doing all the things and in turn dont deliver as promised. Heres the thing, when you get your systems sorted you will: Avoid errors, meaning you only have to do something once Have a first class customer experience, increasing retention + referrals Increase productivity and therefore your capacity Prevent leads or potential customers slip through the cracks WIN WIN WIN No more excuses - nows the time to create clear processes + automate repeatable tasks. WHITE LABEL Are you spending countless hours doing simple tasks that could be outsourced to another professional under your business? Thiss a bit like hiring a team member but with more flexibility. Obviously there needs to be a strategy in place, but this is an excellent way to stay in your genius zone yet still offer a full service for your clients. By white labelling some services, you will free up your time, allowing you to do more of what fills your cup (oh and of course increase your revenue since youre no longer just trading your time for dollars). These are just two ways to help you bring in more income into your business. Are you currently doing either of these? Kristy See more

18.01.2022 One step forward, two back... Does this sound familiar? #thebusinessdance Do you have a ton of ideas for your business, yet struggle to implement any? If thats a yes, you are not alone!... In fact its more common than you think. One of the challenges many small business owners face is knowing what next step to take, which idea to implement and how to create an actionable plan that leads to real results. Why? Because when youre in the thick of it, its difficult to see the forest from the trees and its too easy to get lost in it all. For most of my clients, they operate their business on their own and welcome the lens of someone external who understands them and their business. I have designed the Business Accelerator Package to help business owners get clear on what they stand for, identify key levers for growth, setting a strategic plan and taking measurable action to enable growth. I help my clients go from overwhelmed to laser focused, unlocking capacity for progress . The Business Accelerator price is increasing in 2020, so if you need help identifying your "whats next" then perhaps now is the time to invest in you and your business and book yourself into the Business Accelerator Package. 18.01.2022 The single biggest mistake I made with my first business was not listening to my audience ( enough ). I T H O U G H T adapting the business model meant I was compromising the purpose of my business. ... I was wrong. Actually, you can change the model to service your customer and solve their problem (what + how), so long as its aligned to your company mission + vision (why). Words I now live by ... 18.01.2022 Have you ever tried to order something from a small business only to be left hanging with little or no response? You send a follow-up email + they don't remember you? Let down right?... I've experienced this trying to buy bees, a dog, plants and even a house! As small business owners it's OUR responsibility to not only track enquiries + leads, but also follow-up potential client's. Follow-up can be scary (I get it), we all have a fear of being pushy. But you don't need to "feel pushy", in fact, when you create systems for follow-up, it takes pressure off, allowing you to not only follow-up with ease + confidence, but show up for your customers from a place of service. Get started with these three things + I promise it will have a huge impact on your business: Create a system for tracking leads - ideally in your CRM (customer relationship management tool). If you don't have one, create a simple spreadsheet, record dates, conversations + track progress. - If a client decides it's not the right time, ask if it's OK to touch base in a month (or another preferred date). Be sure to schedule the follow-up in your calendar (you can only remember so much)! Here's the thing, by having a follow-up scheduled, you'll feel less like cold calling + more like you're being of service (which is what follow-up actually is)! + Make life easier for yourself + establish a workflow and / or automation for new enquiries. Get started with these: 1 Map your process (step by step) for what happens when an enquiry hits your email, website or DM. AND stick to it 2 Create a simple automation by developing a set of canned emails based on what you're regularly asked 3 Replace your contact form with a brief questionnaire on your website, that way you can garner more specific information to make follow-up easier + more effective Do you have a firm grip on incoming leads + enquiries? Are you providing a customer experience for potential clients? @ Brisbane, Queensland, Australia See more

17.01.2022 Lets talk brand. Did you know branding is sooooo much more than a logo. Your brand is your identity, your DNA (yes typeface, photography, graphics are all super important, but so is your tone, your language, your voice, your price, your product, your offering, your values, your mission etc). No matter what stage your business is at, taking time to get your brand strategy right can not be underestimated.... I just met with an amazing client who is in the early stages of rebranding her business and step one for her is to get crystal clear on her her business strategy now AND for the future. 15.01.2022 Do you feel as though you're doing all the things and yet still not getting the results you want? I know you're working hard in your business, but, are you doing the right things? You can take massive amounts of action, but if it's unfocused and misaligned, it’ll not only fail to yield results, it'll lead to frustration and worse yet, burnout.... If this resonates, here’s one thing you can do to understand if you’re taking the wrong kind of action. Reflect on this , , ? This might appear overly simplistic, but when you deeply reflect on this question (map it out preferably), you may just discover what's been getting in the way of where you want to be! If you're unable to do this reflective work now - save this post and schedule it into your calendar. 09.01.2022 LETS TALK CUSTOMER SERVICE// The USA was the 50th country I visited and boy did I love it. I LOVE so much about the US of A, but for me my lasting memories of America is the remarkable customer service I received everywhere I visited. From the warm welcome when entering a store, to your waiter introducing him or herself when they come to take your order. Its been over a decade since I have been to America but I still remember the customer service like it was yesterday. What... can we learn from this? Customer is king in any business. Have you established a customer journey? To stand out from the crowd, make your customer FEEL special. When it comes to great customer service, its the small things that speak volumes. I would love to hear your top customer service experiences. #virtualassistant #brisbanevirtualassistant #goldcoastbusiness #sunshinecoastbusiness #brisbanebusiness #brisbanehair #goldcoasthair #brisbaneplumber #brisbanecafe #sunshinecoastcafe #brisbanebeauty #brisbaneflourist #brisbanenails #brisbanepainter #brisbanebuilder #brisbanelandscapes #brisbaneaccountant #brisbanept #brisbanearchitecture #queenslander #ashgrove #brisbanerestaurant #brisbanebar #brisbaneaccountant

08.01.2022 How do you know youre ready for more? Youve been in business a couple of years, you have a steady stream of clients (mostly referrals) - which is great! But is something missing... Perhaps your business isnt really an outward reflection of who you are as a person or the impact you wish to make. Maybe you havent changed your offer (or prices) since you got started. And it feels like everyone around you is moving forward. Or, is it your business no longer lights you up. Any of this sound familiar? Now might be the time to schedule yourself into the diary so you can get real with your business AND your vision. heres some questions prompts to get you started: If I could choose to work with anyone would these be the clients I am currently working with? Am I fulfilled by the work I am doing? Am I charging my worth or am I stuck on outdated pricing? Am I making the impact I wish to make? Can I scale my business in its current form so I can live a life on my terms? If I was working for someone else would I be ready for a promotion? On a scale of one to ten how happy am I with where my business is headed? Questions are the answers. Perhaps set aside an hour this week, find a quiet space, grab a coffee + journal out these questions. save this post so the questions dont get lost in your feed. 08.01.2022 Its hard to believe June is just a few short days away! Seems to me this year is going to whizz by faster than normal.. Do you agree? To create a clear definition of what your new normal actually looks like. Its also the perfect time to reimagine your vision, goal and result for the remainder of the year. And if (like me), youre keen to be m...ore purposeful around what you want to bring in, as much as what you wish to leave behind, I have created a free workbook to support this process (link is in the comment) Kristy PS - feel free to tag anyone else you think might be keen to go through this process.

06.01.2022 . Do you find yourself getting caught up in day to day operations of business or snowed under with client work - then all of a sudden you pop your head up 8 months later and your business is not exactly where you envisioned? ... If thats a yes, then you are not alone. I too have experienced this, so thought I would share some simple, actionable tips that can help you get off the dance floor and up on to the balcony. Book yourself in to your diary. Its far too easy to hit the snooze button on your business, however when you diarise time to work on your business (with a list of things to accomplish during that timeframe) you are more likely to take action and yield results. In the book When - Daniel Pink identified strategic thinking is best done in the morning (science backed). Keep a master list of goals. Then break master goals down into monthly goals and then weekly tasks. Thing is, if your master goal list is also your to do list, it is too overwhelming, which is most likely part of the problem Invest in help. As your #wingwoman, I can help you identify and plan out the next steps to take in your business through the Business Accelerator package - check out the website or get in touch today to find out how! 06.01.2022 My first #YouTube video is now LIVE! I can hardly believe this day has finally arrived... 3 years ago I wrote a plan for my business and in it included sharing my experience and knowledge via YouTube. Here are some little facts that you might not know:... is not new to me. Ive been running online training sessions via zoom since 2015 for participants ranging 1 to over 100. I am deeply passionate about writing educational content - I cut my teeth on sales + mindset training session plans (again, something I have done for years) I have founded and launched two businesses (a physical business in Sydney + this online business)... I am considering a third (side hustle). years ago I left a successful corporate career to embark on my entrepreneurial journey! I had no idea what I was doing in the beginning, but I figured it out as I went. I started social media marketing in 2011 (it was unchartered territory in those days, I used my gut and it paid off). Fun fact , I actually used instagram in those early days to filter my images only to post onto facebook! My vision for the #youtubechannel is to help even more entrepreneurs and small business owners to grow their business. I firmly believe when you have a thriving business, you really do unlock the freedom to live a life on your terms!! In todays video I head right to the top -> I am sharing my 5 pro tips to grow your business (its probably not what you think). Grab the link from the comments below . And, if growing your business is on the agenda, subscribe to the channel for weekly tutorials, quick training bytes, business vlogs, interviews and so much more! Kristy

And so, if youre serious about achieving the goal in spite of the craziness of 2020, heres five things I do + know will work for you too: 1. Establish a material + emotional why for your goal. Your material why is what you will GET and your emotional why is how you will FEEL when you achieve the goal. 2. Get buy-in Discuss your goals with someone who has a vested interest in your success, discuss your goal in great detail, what it is, what you will do to achieve it, what it means to you (all of it). 3. Create a plan If youve got a goal, you need a plan. Period. 4. Sit with your fear The fear will come (especially if youre stretching yourself) and so, its important to firstly acknowledge you will feel fear at some point + secondly prepare for it. I suggest tease out your fears through journalling, let your pen flow and be respectful of your fears by creating this space. Once youve sat with your fears for a moment, counter with an opposing view (in particular the rewards - point 1). 5. Seek accountability This can be a business buddy or perhaps you want to hire a business consultant (me) or a coach to help keep you on track. Either way - you need someone to check in with and support you along the way. This is particularly helpful when your confidence and motivation waives. There it is... My top tips for chasing down the big scary audacious goal (BSAG). How many of these are you currently doing + is there something you want to try? @ Wilston, Queensland See more

03.01.2022 You do you. Social media can be a rabbit hole... If you spend too much time on it, you can start to feel bad about yourself (guilty as charged right here ). Yes, its true, theres loads of great advice out there. But you dont have to implement everything you read. Make a of what peaks your interest so you can research later + then apply IF it works for you and your business. ... Please please please dont compare your something to someone elses everything. If you follow a fitness blogger and you only have time for a 30 minute run a day then reality is you aint going to look like him or her. If you are crushing on someone whos been in business for ten years and youve been doing it for ten weeks please dont worry that you dont have what they have. And, if youre a service based business and someone else in your industry is booked out, dont stress that your not, you dont know the work behind the scenes that has taken for them to get there. Someone elses success should never take away from your own. In order to stay sane, for goodness sakes, stay in your lane. Your special and unique. Youve got this... Now excuse me while I hit the bookmark button so I can remind myself of this advice next week. Happy weekend all. And remember, you do you. Kristy. See more

03.01.2022 Happy Friday. Second last day in Sydney for me and I am spending the morning working from the State Library Seriously, how gorgeous is this place? Its funny I lived in Sydney for 19 years and this is my first visit here. Its so easy to get stuck in your routine, from getting coffee from the same caf to visiting the same sort of places to even seeing the same people.... After having an amazing week exploring a city I called home for so long, my heart is full, mind overflowing with ideas and I feel even more inspired. I am excited to say I am ready to come back to Brisbane to help busy bosses grow their business. My big takeaway from this working holiday - I have decided to create space in my life to explore more" new things. Can you relate? Do you find yourself being more routine focused than you would like? . . . . . #virtualbusinessmanager #brisbanevirtualbusinessmanager #lmbdw #lmbdwbrisbane #remoteworker #remoteoffice #brisbanecreatives #brisbanesmallbusiness #brisbanebusiness #smallbusinessau #smalbusinessaustralia #sydneybusiness #sydneysmallbusiness #mumswithhustle #shopsmallau #growyourbusiness #businessgrowthstrategy #fempreneur #outsource #laptopbusiness #planforsuccess #intentionalbusiness #smallbizlife #madeinaustralia #brisbanebusinesswoman @ The State Library of New South Wales See more

02.01.2022 People buy from those they KNOW, LIKE + TRUST. Since we are ALL consumers this comes as no surprise I am sure. How do you as a business add intentionality around these three areas through your social media channels? Here are just three suggestions, but I would love to hear what works for you too: ... Get out from behind the brand and be known, customers like to know the founder or the person they are working with, your page doesnt need to be flooded with "about you" captions and photos of you, but there definitely needs to be a way for your audience to get to know the person behind the brand. Speak with your audience (not at them). I know this is obvious, ask questions, strike up a conversation and PLEASE respond to comments. I know if I leave a comment on someones photo its because I am genuinely interested, if all I get back is a like of my comment then I am less likely to engage with that brand/person again. Think of it this way, if you were face to face and someone responded to you and all you did was a thumbs up and walked away, how would that person feel and do you think that would bring them closer to liking you? Be honest. Your audience can sniff a fraudster a mile a way. Yes, we know that social media is curated - fact. But be honest about who you are and who you arent. Authenticity is the key to trust. Thats just three tips, but there is sooooooo many more ways you can help your customers know, like and trust you - I would love to hear what works for you (either side of the coin) Kristy See more

01.01.2022 Who am I to do this? ? This is the question we obsess over when we want to take a BIG step forward.... Whether its raising your prices, offering a new service, rebranding your business or launching something new entirely. Striving for something bigger is hard. And so this happens our brain starts to look for ways to validate that "who am I to do this thought, by: Obsessing over past mistakes Comparing yourself to someone further along (how can I compare to her) Looking for holes in your experience (because really, Im a fraud) Staring at where you are at now and believing the leap is impossible Worrying what your friends, family, past colleagues, neighbours, local barista will think (noone wants to look silly) Want to know the secret to getting what you want in life? , All while knowing that: Stepping out of your comfort zone WILL trigger the amygdala to spin out of control Your fears will tell you lies to protect you, but they are wrong Once youve done "the thing" you will soon realise it wasnt as hard or scary as your brain had you believing Let me leave you with this. Its not enough to have big dreams. You have to chase after them. Because if you dont, you run the risk of regret (and trust me, thats worse than taking the shot). I suggest you bookmark this post in your mindset collection, because YOU 100% deserve to make those dreams a reality. Kristy See more
