23.01.2022 I've been in business for 16 years now and I have seen NO increase in the general consensus of VA pricing during this time. This makes me furious! All expenses relating to running a VA business including equipment, utilities, business consulting etc have increased during this time yet we are supposed to somehow make a profit charging only $30 per hour?... Yes many VAs charge more than this and some even charge less. However the general 'starting rate' or even what people 'offer VAs' is usually around the $30 per hour mark. Remove from that $30 - equipment costs - subscription/software costs - utilities - training expenses - networking - your own business support/consultants - annual leave - sick leave - insurance - super ... and you are left with nothing. Honestly, most VAs cannot afford to contribute to their own super let-alone have an income to cover sick or annual leave. If you want quality VA services to survive, you need to understand that they need to be financially VIABLE.

I only took up bike riding recently - learning to ride enough to satisfy my fun-triathlon distances and then during lockdown I started challenging myself more thanks to our indoor bike stand and awesome riding apps like Zwift Life changed when we got our Wahoo Fitness trainer!... And ironically, it's been a massive tool that our whole family has used to stay healthy and somewhat sane during this tough time. So I'm stoked to challenge myself further and aim for 120km in 3 days which is more than I've ever done. 40km each day. I'd LOVE your support so we can keep supporting mental health in all of our communities through Love Me Love You I'd be surprised if I met anyone who hadn't been affected by issues relating to mental health - be it personally or through friends or family.
