19.01.2022 Restart task #7: Time to take a step back and review how you run your business. What's working, what needs to be refreshed, what needs to be kicked to the kerb? Can you streamline processes, implement software to automate (for safety software, I recommend Donesafe ), are your risk asssessments and procedures up to date (you do have risk assessments and procedures right??), do you need to do different things in light of COVID Safe requirements? If you want to really deep dive ...into your business and do things better, I recommend the business coaching services of Business Mentored for simple, practical and super effective coaching for success. Your WHS Plan will need to be updated to capture the COVID Safe requirements. The link to the WorkSafe Qld COVID Safe Plan is: https://www.worksafe.qld.gov.au///WHS-plan-for-COVID19.pdf However, you can also build in the requirements into your existing WHS Plan for a complete document. 12.01.2022 Who is looking forward to the new financial year? ME!!! FYI to Victorian businesses - the new Industrial Manslaughter laws come into effect today. Up to $16.5 million in fines and up to 20 years in prison can be handed down to duty holders for negligently causing a workplace death. This follows the successful prosecution of a Brisbane company in June under the Qld industrial manslaughter laws, securing a $3 million fine and jail sentences for the directors.... Don't be 'that' company.

11.01.2022 Re-start Task 8: Risk assessment review time. Things have changed, processes are different. There are new hazards and new ways of controlling them. So it's a great time to review and update your risk assessments. Risk assessments can cover lots of different areas of your business, but for re-opening, concentrate on the safety, health, hygiene and other COVID Safe hazards and controls, and processes that have had to change.

10.01.2022 Re-start Task 10 - Last one!! We did it! Task 10 is all about Staff Training. Whether it's online, face to face or both, staff need to know their new roles, expectations, how to manage customer conflicts, what to clean and when and how to manage the COVID Safe and WHS requirements in the workplace. Note that some industries are required to have all staff undertake the approved COVID Safe online training, but it's also important to provide venue-specific training on the detail...s of how the requirements are being implemented in your workplace. Also, food handler training may also need to be done or refreshed for staff in food handling roles. Virtual Safety Manager can deliver your specific face to face training (in person or via Zoom) or provide you with a training guide. Contact me today! Links: https://clubtraining.com.au/
