I have been gobbling up any SEO training that Karlie from Techno Bird is putting out there. Karlie breaks SEO things down nicely and is a wealth of tips and tricks. She knows her stuff and there is no BS flying around. I weirdly love SEO... yep... but at times it can be a little so Karlie is keeping me on a Google loving path which has seen one of my clients go from Googl...e oblivion to #4 for some super targeted key words. 22.01.2022 Anyone else doing the pre school holiday shuffle?? Where you try and get ahead so you don’t get so far behind when the kids are home. That’s me this week! . The last term has been just plain nasty to my mental health and a whole defrag/reboot is required. I’ve decided my aim: to get (sort of/kinda) 2 weeks off from the end of next week when my hubby flies back out to work so I can just hang with the kids while they are on school holidays. . How are you feeling? Is your home office about to be inundated with children... again?

09.01.2022 Just another reason to love Canva Pro! Canva has released its new content scheduling calendar just for Pro users (paid). Now you can create your fancy shmancy graphics and place them into your calendar so you have a clear picture on the story you are telling with your content. Great for SMMs and small biz owners who are doing all the things (I see you!). ... I do love me a visual!

09.01.2022 Every week I am writing content, creating graphics and checking reports for my clients on an array of CMS platforms. I have definitely learnt a thing or two about the capabilities of each and also how to think outside the (templated) square. I have watched on in many FB groups as someone asks "which is the best email management system for me?" and they are given the current favourite without the pros and cons for each available system. They then find out in time that that ...platform doesn't report well, or that it charges by size of database not number of emails, or... the list goes on. Basically it wasn't what they were after at all. The fun, Instagram guru Kryshla over at Shall We Social has asked me for a lunchtime chat over in the Shall We Social Squad. We will be talking all about the how tos and why dos of email marketing. 06.01.2022 I love a planner and I take choosing my new year planner VERY seriously! For the second year running () I have just preordered my Ronnie & Co A4 planner. I like them big, what can I say! Plus, heads up left handed people check out the non-spiral binding!! #leftiesunite ... Run don't walk as these planners don't stick around too long. P.S. I have no vested interest in Ronnie & Co (besides me knowing the owner is lovely) but just gotta spread the word to fellow planner loving peeps.

05.01.2022 I love making big moves that I know will ultimately help my business owners out! Last week I helped Vanessa from zarc launch her new website with the big switch to Shopify. She was a bit nervous about it all which is understandable but she knew it was the platform for her fashion store. Wowzer, I KNOW she won’t look back from this switch. I can’t wait to see what Vanessa brings to zarc next.

04.01.2022 Hallelujah! Facebook has removed it’s max 20% text on images rule. Don’t be creating massive text images though! It’s been proven over and over again that Facebook and Instagram users dislike ads with too much text in the main image. That’s why FB restricted it in the first places, to improve the general user experience. So carry on and create, there is just no more thin line you have to tread... just all those copy rules.
