Fees The partner visa application fee has increased to $7,160.00. Regular correspondence The Department of Home Affairs will send automated correspondence to partner visa applicants to assure them that their application is still being processed. This correspondence will be sent in relation to applications that were submitted after 1 January 2017 and haven't been decided after 12 months. The Department of Home Affairs will send an automated email to partner visa applicants when it is time to submit their second stage information (2 years after the initial partner visa application was lodged). The reminder email contains the application reference number, which must be used in the second stage application form.
