21.01.2022 Just putting the finishing touches onto the Lifesaving Victoria’s 2020 Awards of Excellence edits, ready to stream live this Saturday night from 7pm. With people unable to attend the event in person, our client Jennifer Arch and the LSV team had to develop a new way to showcase these important awards, an online video presentation was the best solution. Creating a video presentation this way required many moving parts (as you can see from my edit timeline).... Gold Coast based awards MC Carol Fox, with the help of local Edwin Davis, filmed in a green screen studio with us producing remotely. We then used nice animated backgrounds and titles to really enhance that ‘awards vibe’. Next, it was co-ordinating a number of short interviews online via Zoom. We gave guidance on best practice from their smartphones, then added some colour grading and animated effects. To bring it all together, dynamic titles, inspiring music, animated nominee images, photo slideshows and we even photographed the awards for each category. Are you considering a way to showcase your event in these days of social distancing? Consider the possibilities a live video presentation will bring. Tune in this Saturday night 1st August 7pm: https://lnkd.in/gwDQFDj #videoproduction #lvsaoe2020

20.01.2022 Recently we ‘remotely’ produced the 2020 Awards of Excellence video presentation for Life Saving Victoria and I’m pleased to be able to share this highlights video. Unfortunately for us, filming in Victoria was not an option, and my recent LinkedIn posts have shown MC Carol Fox recording her segments in a Gold Coast green screen studio. For the other segments, it was using video conferencing to direct our other presenters, sponsors, nominees and winners to record on their sma...rtphones. It was all then combined with existing archive footage and images, inspiring music, dynamic animated elements, themed transitions and photo slideshows to deliver an engaging 90 minute awards presentation. Seen live on the night by a large audience through the LSV website, their FaceBook and YouTube channels, the content has since been repurposed for ongoing social media content and other important updates. There are so many creative treatments you can apply for your pre-recorded content. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners, and thanks again Life Saving Victoria for giving us the privilege to bring the Annual Awards to your audience and members. #videoproduction #videocontent #prerecordedvideo #highlights #awards

17.01.2022 Have you been trying to produce your own video content with your webcam or smart device? DIY video content is definitely on the uptake for many businesses, it’s great to see the importance video is playing for communication. But have you also seen a need for some of that content to have that professional touch that a video crew delivers? Perhaps it’s an important CEO message, public announcements, service demonstrations, marketing or team training that needs that extra profes...sional quality. We have been asked by a few people how do we go about heading to a clients office or even their home to film during this period of social distancing. By using a solo operator with the full kit, we have a solution that adheres to those rules and general health advice. In this video I give an overview into the general setup for a single person crew. The equipment is portable and battery powered, we limit time spent in the same room as others while maintaining a 2 metre distance, thoroughly clean equipment and implement hygiene procedures. Delivering your message via video is so important during this time, don’t feel restricted by levelling up the quality of your production for certain projects.
