22.01.2022 Good & Bad! Google has stopped showing text ads (product listing will continue to show) on right hand side of desktop search results. Only 3-4 on the top & maybe 3 ads at the bottom of the organic search result will show. Good for Google as competition will increase and advertisers will pay more. Good for end users as they will see more relevant ads.... Bad for small businesses who manage their own ad campaigns. They wont be able to compete with more experienced advertisers.

19.01.2022 . Recently google has sent an update to all Google Partners regarding future requirements to retain their Google Partners Status. Some existing requirements have now changed. ... % : I myself manage all my clients accounts. I dont have any employees, but all my clients have full access to their accounts as the owner. Now Google wants to count these clients as users of my business and now needs more than half of them to be certified? If they are Google Ads certified, why will they seek my help in the first place? Googles Ad Support has also advised partners to restrict their access of those accounts to read-only. This conflicts with my policy of transparency. They are the owners of their own account, so they should be able to access their account at any time. : Performance is now based on whether the account follows all of Googles recommendations. These recommendations carry a total 100% optimisation score. Any dismissed recommendations will not be added and will therefore get a reduced optimisation score. However, some of Googles automated recommendations are ridiculous and doesnt serve the interest of my clients. Examples: One client provides a fridge repairs service and Google recommends adding keywords like Samsung fridge, Whirlpool fridge etc. He doesnt sell fridges, he repairs them. Another client is a painter, but Googles recommendation is to add epoxy paint, deck paint etc. He doesnt sell paints, he just paints. There are also ad suggestions which dont make any reasonable sense. I choose to provide service to my clients best interest, not for Googles interest. If I must lose my partners status to fully serve my clients, then so be it. , .
