25.01.2022 Would you love your Dog to come when called EVERY TIME? Meet Jack what humdinger of a Dog! His confidence has grown 10 fold and look at his recall! Jack has been with us for a week now. He was lacking self confidence and hadn't really been exposed to dogs outside his family, or social situations. He didn't think life would be anything without his lovely person and his little pack. Jack is now enjoying an abundance of new experiences and loving it.... His person can't wait to take him travelling, hiking, to the beach, down town and having lots of fun in so many new ways HAPPY DOG > HAPPY LIFE
25.01.2022 Lol .... I stole this picture from Facebook, but it makes me smile..... ...very clever too
24.01.2022 "My Dog doesn't listen to me; they just pull me all over the place". "If my dog behaved, I would love to take them out more often". These are some of the comments I hear often. I know how uncomfortable it can be to take an unruly dog out and about and totally understand why people choose not to... but it doesn't have to be that way. Penny is learning structured walking in this clip. When she is doing a good job, she is allowed to do a "Free" loose leash walk. Structured walki...ng askes your dog to not sniff, poo or pee as you are walking along. You have total control on a loose leash and she is expected to simply follow you at your side. As you know dogs love to sniff and investigate on their walks, so we can use this as a reward for good behaviour. In a "Free" walk, they are allowed to do as they please without out pulling on the leash and still having manners. Enjoy walking with your dog so you can have a healthy, happy fun life with your dog. Call 0400709856 if you would like to discuss how you and your dog can enjoy life even more.
22.01.2022 I get it! Jumping dogs can be frustrating, embarrassing, scary and even dangerous. It can sometimes scare your visitors away as they don't want the confrontation. Dogs jumping on people is one of the number one problems I come across with dog owners. Most dogs jump because they are overexcited and want attention. When you think about it, they keep jumping because it works, they get the attention they desire. Even if the attention is "NO" as you put them back on the ground, t...hey still get their end goal met. Mostly Dog training is an investigation of what is rewarding for the dog and understanding why they do what they do. Teaching your dog sit and rewarding with the affection and attention they desire is an example of being mindful of what behaviours you are rewarding for your dog and therefore what behaviours you are going to get more of. There are other ways to stop your dog from jumping. Do you know what they are? What are your best tips that you used to teach them what you want?
22.01.2022 Sarge, the Shar pei, used to be aggressive to other dogs. His people wanted to take him travelling with them. They wanted to know he would be good with other dogs, come back when called off leash and have general obedience, listening skills and manners in public. Wayne and Lyn are great musicians and love adventure and travel, now Sarge can happily join in all the fun. Happiness all the way around the only problem is I think I want to come with them too
22.01.2022 Look at this beautiful girl! Once we taught her a new way to communicate, she loves to please. This foundation work sets her up for a wonderful life ahead with her family. Who would have thought that a short time ago she would crocodile roll, throw tantrums and bite and jump at her people to get her own way! Lucky, they sent her for training with us! Their only other option was to rehome her, which would have been heart breaking for them.... Call 0400709856 so we can show you how to have a much happier and fun life with your dog.
21.01.2022 Does your dog get to excited? Do they have way to much energy? Training your dog with games has so many benefits! # It tires them out so they are calmer in and out of the house. # Helps thedm understand what you want in a positve way.... # Helps to distract them from barking lunging and unwanted behaviors. # Helps them connect with you more so you are the most important person not other people, dogs or things in their environment. ....... and the bous is you have a better trained dog that you can take out with you and enjoy! Your dog LOVES it and is so much more fun for you too! Call 0400709856 to find out how to have a happier life with your dog with games and training
19.01.2022 Luna and Quinn were double trouble with chaos before training with us. Look at them go now, sooo good! Their people can't believe what a pleasure it is to walk them now What's your best tip for loose leash walking?
19.01.2022 Quinn and Luna having a bit of fun. So much fun to watch dogs play at the beach. What do you love watching your dogs do the most?
16.01.2022 Understanding why your dog does what it does, good, or bad, is very important. Having a professional behavioural assessment is the start for finding solutions to long term and success. Why does my Dog do this (behaviour).? In our private session Jazzy and her people learnt about marker words and other styles of communication. We also ascertained why there are a few behavioural problems and discussed several possible solutions with demonstrations. ... Life doesn't always go smoothly for our canine friends. Sadly, Jazzie's owner passed away and she needed a new home. Luckily she found some lovely people to give her a great new start to life. This makes for happy people and happy dogs. I'm sure everything will go smoothly for this family
16.01.2022 Champions, Great work team! Luna and Quinn were quite out of control before they started training with us. This was extremely frustrating for them and their dogs. These are some of the things we worked on: Attacking other dogs!... Extreme, chaotic leash pulling. Not listening to commands, especially not coming back when called! Unable to walk off leash. Now, they are able to enjoy a whole lot more fun. Luna and Quinn can be trusted to listen to them with other dogs around, come back when called - every time and enjoy pleasurable walks. It's so lovely to work with lovely people and their dogs, thank you all
14.01.2022 Odin has some issues! He is extremely reactive - barking, lunging and acting aggressively! He has been impossible to control at times. We believe this is largely genetic, (half of his litter mates act in this way). Either way, we are determined to make progress. Being consistent, persistent, having skills and knowledge with strong, fair leadership is essential. ... Odin also needs lots of structure in his outings to show him what we want. We utilise obedience and communication skills that he already knows. This gives his brain something to do rather than building for a ‘Blow up. Among other thinds, I also recommend teaching Odin how to be bored. Firstly, in a low distracting environments and then introducing higher distractions. Odin is lucky that his lovely family are doing their very best for him so they can live happier lives and enjoy outings together. Today we enjoyed off leash freedom with many other distractions including all types of dogs at the beach. He nailed it and so did his person. Keep up the great work!
14.01.2022 Ruby is going to have so much fun with her off leash freedom now. It's awesome to know that you can always communicate with them to keep them safe when you recall them. What is your favourite thing that you taught your dog?
14.01.2022 "My Dog never listens to me", "I just want to be able to take them out and enjoy them.". Imagine the joy of these people watching their dogs have fun and knowing they also have total control. Penny, the Mareema, was a highly reactive dog that would bark and lunge at other dogs. They struggled to enjoy her as much as they wanted too. They even considered rehoming. Penny was out of control, even dangerous for her very pregnant lady! Porter was very similar, she was very excit...ed, out of control and needed to learn how to play with other dogs appropriatley. Penny and Porter are very lucky to have such a wonderful family. They are now enjoying their well mannered dogs and can take them with them on outings for double the fun!
13.01.2022 Odin is doing great with his control and enjoying off leash freedom
13.01.2022 Hello Lucifer, you good looking boy Challenge of the day.... can you guess his breed? ... Tips He is only 6 months old and is pure bred.

10.01.2022 Is your dog overexcited and doesn't listen? You know they are smart, but they choose to ignore you if they are distracted! What and how do you first start training your dog or puppy.....?
08.01.2022 Slowly we build confidence, never pushing or forcing dogs too far, too fast. In training we only go as fast and as slow as we have too to gain trust that everything is ok. How awesome is this little guy! His confidence is building every day. He is still a little nervous but he is pushing through.... Good work Jack
06.01.2022 Meet Kenzie and his lovely person. This lovely Pup struggled with loose lead walking. We taught plenty of games and skills with fun. Kenzie was such a keen learner, good work What do you struggle with the most with your Puppy?
05.01.2022 Rig is a powerful, strong, beautiful, though very headstrong Rottweiler! His owners would never have believed that one day they could have him off-leash at the beach with other dogs, people and distractions. They now have solid communication with Rig and can have the best fun times wherever they choose to take him.... Great work Rig and his people! Call 0400709856 if you would love to take your dog on outing and enjoy them more, we can show you how.
05.01.2022 Odin and Jack have settled in well to start their training with us. Training = more fun and freedom. All our Board and Training Dogs have a blast. Their happiness happens because they understand what we want and how we want them to behave. ... Effective Communication = Happiness & Contentment
04.01.2022 Even under high distractions with other dogs around Odin is nailing his obedience and off leash skills!
04.01.2022 Helping people and dogs live a much happier life brings joy to my heart. Thank you to all the people I have worked with and their sometimes wayward but wonderful dogs
03.01.2022 just a funny to start your day
03.01.2022 Klaus is a nervous, anxious Weimaraner. Never would his person have the courage to let him have freedom at the beach. Klaus is highly reactive to other dogs. After some training Klaus is now a much more confident dog. Better still, he is having loads more fun and is more relaxed, so is his person! Who else thinks that watching their dog run and play with freedom is one of the best things in life! Love it!! It’s doable! Give us a ring so you and your dog can also enjoy life to... the MAX with fun and freedom. Phone 0400709856
03.01.2022 Happy weekend everyone! Hope you and your doggos have a blast
02.01.2022 Remember that if your dog is way too excited before they get out of the front door, or out of the car, there is little chance of them being calm once you are outside in the world. Practise some rules, boundaries, focus and manners so their attention is on you. Ensure their state of mind is where it should be to set you and them up for success. Call 0400709856 to learn and enjoy your time with your dog.
01.01.2022 Just a bit of weekend fun hopefully you all had a great weekend too
01.01.2022 Odin practising some great recalls
