24.01.2022 RECIPE Try these Lemongrass Ginger Patties as a snack or with a salad to make it a meal. Carbs: 6.9g Protein: 28.5g Fat: 5.9g... Ingredients (Serves 4) 3 tsp Garlic 3 tsp Ginger 2 tsp Lemon Grass 0.5 tsp Red or Cayenne Pepper 0.5 Tsp Olive Oil 500g Pork Mince Lean Salt 45g Shallots 100g Cherry Tomatoes 0.25 tsp Turmeric Method: 1. In food processor, combine lemongrass, garlic, shallots, ginger and salt. Next add cayenne and tomatoes and blend until smooth. 2. Mix turmeric through the mince. Add spice mix to mince, kneading together with your hands. 3. Shape mince mixture into balls, then gently press each into a thick patty. Fry patties in non-stick fry pan or in a moderate oven 180 C for 15 mins in a small bit of oil. 4. Serve patties with a green salad or enjoy as a snack on the run.

22.01.2022 Recipe time Cajun Chicken Kebabs C: 12.7g | P: 37.6g | F: 3.3g Per Single Serve... Ingredients Serves 1 150g Chicken breast, lean Cajun seasoning 150g Capsicum 75g Red onion 30g Mixed salad leaves 50g Cherry tomatoes 10g Balsamic Vinegar Juice of one lemon Method 1. Cook chicken and add Cajun seasoning to taste. 2. Add capsicum and red onion to a hot frying pan and cook until they still start to discolour, this should only take a few minutes. 3. Make salad by adding chopped cherry tomatoes to leaves and drizzling with balsamic and lemon juice. 4. Skewer alternate chunks of chicken, onion and capsicum. 5. Serve on top of salad with optional side of sweet potato.

21.01.2022 NEW YEAR NEW YOU We have all heard this and probably said it to ourselves. So what we can do to make sure it sticks this time and we make some positive changes. First thing I think we need to do is look at the current times we are in. Half the world is under lock down conditions, we could join them at any given point, there are restrictions on almost all day to day living for us, so the first thing we need to do is be grateful for what we can do, what we are cap...able of doing and then setting some realistic goals. Below are some examples, if you need help with any of these please don’t hesitate to contact us first step is always the hardest.. Carbs: 12.6g Protein: 2.3g Fat: 0.5g Ingredients (Serves 6) 100g Frozen Blueberries 10g Raw Organic Agave Syrup 400g Vanilla Crème Soy Yoghurt Method: 1. Using a food processor or blender, mix together yoghurt, blueberries and syrup. 2. Pour into ice lolly moulds and pop into freezer. 3. These should take approx. 4 hours to freeze and should be eaten as soon as removed from freezer.

17.01.2022 Spanish chicken INGREDIENTS 1 teaspoon smoked paprika 1 teaspoon harissa paste ... 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice 4 (about 250g) Lilydale Free Range Chicken Tenderloins 125g green beans, chopped 400g can no-added-salt cannellini beans, rinsed, drained 1 small zucchini, sliced 50g (1/4 cup) pitted Sicilian green olives, halved 400g can cherry tomatoes 1teaspoon extra virgin olive oil Fresh parsley sprigs, to serve Step 1 Combine paprika, harissa, garlic and lemon juice in a large sealable glass or plastic container. Add chicken and turn to coat. Step 2 Place the green beans, cannellini beans, zucchini, olive and tomatoes in a bowl Step 3 Heat oil in a large frying pan. Add contents of chicken container. Cook for 2 minutes each side or until browned. Add contents of veg container. Simmer for 10 minutes or until veg is just tender. Divide chicken and veg mixture among serving plates. Top with parsley. step 4 Save some for your trainer enjoy!!!

07.01.2022 TIPS FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS LOST OVER30kgs Here are my tips for the challenge: 1Maintain an accurate food diary.... 2Weigh your food portions/intake. 3In the instance you have exceeded your macros, don't write the whole week off, get back on track with your meal planning ASAP. 4Change poor eating habits, to establish what works for you! For example, as a shift worker I was making poor food choices/binge eating out of tiredness when I got home at 11pm or 4am after night shift!! Now I have a protein shake on my way home to curb my hunger! Speak with your trainer for tips, ideas and possible modifications. Thats it... Michaela.
07.01.2022 Importance of reading food labels This so called healthy salad. Let’s look at a few things first of all the Macros they don’t look to bad, most people could eat one, and would probably assume they are from good sources, how ever we look at the quantity per pack it’s says 4 servings!! So that’s close to 100g of carbs in this salad !! And really ist that big! ... Then Let’s look at the ingredients list.....how long is it!! And how much of that is actually real food that you can actually name!! So note to self.....Make my own one from scratch!!

C: 10.1g | P: 23.2g | F: 6.1g Ingredients - Serves 6... 400g Cauliflower 120g Onion 5mL Olive Oil 200g Carrot 150g Zucchini 150g Eggplant 500g Lean Beef Mince 5g Garlic 400g Pasta Sauce 100g Light Ricotta 5g Vegeta Gourmet Stock 5g Curry Powder 1. Heat a large pan and add oil. 2. Chop onion and garlic and add to pan to brown before stirring in mince meat. 3. Chop carrot, zucchini and eggplant then stir into pan and add pasta sauce, stock and curry powder. 4. Boil cauliflower and then mash before adding ricotta. 5. Spread mash on top of meat mix and bake for 10-15 minutes. See more

03.01.2022 RESULTS TIME! Amy started training with us in July this year. As she had recently had a second baby girl , she was feeling lethargic , unfit , and unlike her normal self .... We set some small goals designed around becoming more active , more strong in her core , and some nutritional adjustments that would help with increasing her energy levels and were achievable and maintainable. When our 9 week Body Breakthrough challenge started in August, we set a modest goal of losing a few kilograms and a continued improvement in general strength and fitness. Amy has not only achieved that, but has absolutely surpassed it (losing 3x her original goal) and improved her visceral fat and other health markers out of sight!
