25.01.2022 Who doesn't love a PB?! Kerry has not only hit her 20kg weight loss but is now moving onto improving her running! She's pushed early in her program and has achieved her goal of the bay run under 48mins which is her previous PB. When Kerry was asked in her very first goal session if she would like to join in on any running events she laughed and said no chance. (A pretty common thing we hear from clients in the beginning)... Now you can catch her running almost every other day! Never say never... you may end up surprising yourself and achieving something you thought would be impossible. Keep striving towards big goals even if they scare you! See more

14.01.2022 Have you tried cold showers before? Maybe you should! Here are the top 5 reasons you should be having cold showers: (You will love the 5th reason!)... 1. Reduced stress levels - Regularly taking cold showers imposes a small amount of stress on your body, which leads to a process called hardening. 2. Higher level of alertness - The cold also stimulates you to take deeper breaths, decreasing the level of CO2 throughout the body, helping you concentrate. 3. More robust immune response - Scientific studies have found that taking a cold shower increases the amount of white blood cells in your body. These blood cells protect your body against diseases. 4. Increased willpower - It takes a strong mind to endure pain or the cold for extended periods of time. 5. Weight loss! - Research has shown that cold showers, in addition to increasing metabolic rate directly, stimulate the generation of brown fat. Brown fat is a specific type of fat tissue that in turn generates energy by burning calories.

10.01.2022 Story time Once upon a time there was a trainer named Liam. This one particular time Liam was thinking about dinner, which is something he would often think about. ... Now, Liam loves a good pizza He thought to himself, Im going to make a pizza for myself tonight! Now heres where things get interesting. What Liam didnt know was that because he hadnt filled out his food diary for his meals so far, he didnt actually have much room left to hit his macros, and he was already pretty close to eating all his calories for the day. Luckily it wasnt too late! The bad news: once he entered his food for the day, he saw that pizza was no longer an option. The good news: Liam loves a protein packed Schnitzel At the end of it all, Liam was able to save the day by swapping out dinner for a more suitable option. Now Liam knows that if he wants a pizza, which he does, all he has to do is be a bit more prepared at the beginning of the day, and he can afford to eat those foods which he loves. Moral of the story: practice your planning!

05.01.2022 Recovery Tips after a running event: 1. Hydration! Making sure we are consuming enough water throughout the day to avoid dehydration symptoms. 2. Stretch major muscle groups and anything that is sore or tight. Roll out any nagging injuries or problem areas.... 3. Eat a small meal that contains a 4 to 1 ratio of carbohydrates to protein - Helps to increase glycogen levels throughout your body. (straight after the event) 4. Eat a decent sized, healthy meal containing balanced macronutrients (2-3 hours after consuming the snack after the event) 5. Nap, put your feet up, or get a massage. 6. Take an Epsom salt bath to help reduce muscle soreness. 7. Get plenty of sleep Enjoy your Sunday!!

Youll see her stomping the streets of Hunters Hill & weve even done some light fitball lower body and core work I know she hates me getting her up and down this hill but afterwards she always says......
