25.01.2022 If you run local business would you mind filling out this survey?

24.01.2022 We got up at the crack of dawn on Thursday 21 January, to go looking for platypuses. Sometimes we get to sit on the bank as the forage, sometimes we watch them as they swim through, and try to follow them up the creek. The latter occurred on Thursday. We watched one for about one minute as it swam through, then we doubled back thinking he as heading to the next pond , but alas we lost him, we tried in vain to find him again but could not. So after a lovely walk by the creek, we enjoyed our picnic breakfast then headed home. https://visionwalks.com.au/index.p/tour-item/platypus-walk/

24.01.2022 We were treated to a wonderful experience of a koala joey trying to find his way back to his mum, on our wildlife safari on Thursday 19th November. He started out in some rainforest trees across the creek and had quite a bit of trial and error before finding his way back the safe arms of his mum. We kept our distance and use our big zoom to capture this moment without disturbing his behaviour. https://visionwalks.com.au//tou/byron-bay-wildlife-safari/

14.01.2022 This is such a lovely story. Charlotte is is permanent care because she has hip dysplasia, and has some mobility problems. Webster was orphan when his mum was run over by a car. Charlotte has adopted little Webster and takes him cruising on her back, despite her discomfort from her hip dysplasia. At night he has to go back to his own run, to give Charlotte a rest, each morning they are reintroduced and he spends the day riding around on his surrogate mum. Totally adorable.

06.01.2022 We were so lucky to watch this short eared possum with a joey in her pouch, walk across the rainforest floor and across our path, on last night's Night Vision Walk. 02.01.2022 We had an eventful Night Vision Walk last night (7th October). On our way to the park we found a pademelon dead in the middle of the road. being responsible citizens we checked her pouch and she had a little joey, it had no hair, but was a responsible size. So we had to delay the start of of our night vision walk, until we could hand it over to a wildlife carer as time was of the essence. Once we handed it over we got started. We saw great barred frog, ringtailed possum, l...eaf tailed gecko, antechinus and a pademelon (a live one). I'd like to thank all the people on the tour for being patient when were trying to organise care for our little orphaned patient. and for both WIRES and North Coast Wildlife Carers for all the tireless work the do, for our native wildlife. It turns out that the pademelon, hadn't been run over (despite the fact we found it in the middle of the road). It had been attacked by a dog and died from macropod myopathy (a fatal condition they get when they are under great stress, like being attacked by a dog. The little joey died too. https://visionwalks.com.au//t/byron-bay-night-vision-walk/
