Offering nachos, burgers, ribs, tacos, pizza, cheesecake on a stick and more... Event marshals will be on site to ensure COVID-19 safety. Please follow the directions from marshals. 03.01.2022 The Mavis Furner Collection // An exquisite collection of over 200 garments and accessories. This display showcases the life and experience of Mavis Furner and her work in the Coolamon community. All garments were designed, made and worn by Mavis over a 40 year period. It all began when Mavis and her husband, George, went to Manly for a holiday in 1959 and Mavis saw an expensive Italian hand crocheted coat in the window of a boutique. She really wanted that coat but....the price! So Mavis decided that as she could crochet a doyley she could probably crochet a coat. When returning home she purchased some wool and began creating. The Mavis Furner Collection is located in the Coolamon Up-to-Date Store, Cowabbie Street Coolamon.
