23.01.2022 Baw Baw National Park has spectacular wildflower displays in summer and snowy woodlands in winter, with breathtaking views all year round! The gnarled snow gums and alpine heaths encourage you along satisfying hikes, while majestic tall forests grow within the surrounding river valleys. @sabrinarchapman (via IG) took these spectacular shots on the Mt Baw Baw 3 Peaks hike! This 15km return trail is hikeable in a single day and should take between 5 and 8 hours depending on your speed. You'll visit the peaks of Mt Baw Baw (1567m), Mt St Phillack (1556m) and Mt St Gwinear (1509m). The magnificent views, stretching across the valleys of the Thomson and Aberfeldy Rivers and into the Victorian Alps, are a perfect reward! Nice weather yesterday, went for a bit of a cruise up to the lookout at Knob Reserve, Stratford @bikepacker_australia on Instagram Loop around the 56-hectare park with a lookout platform affording views over local farmlands and the Avon River. If you aren’t up for cycling or walking, the reserve is an ideal spot for a picnic with barbeques, tables and chairs and a playground. ... Knob Reserve is another important Aboriginal site and a destination on the Bataluk Cultural Trail. It is significant to the Gunaikurnai people and has been a traditional meeting place for thousands of years. #visitgippsland

06.01.2022 The Blue Pool is a waterhole and gorge near Briagolong, just half an hour north of Sale. This natural pool in the gorge on Freestone Creek is a place to while away an afternoon on the lakeside beach made of rocks. The mystical deep lake keeps the water amazingly cool even on those sweltering summer days. The Bluff is a nice and steep five-minute climb with some amazing views over the Blue Pool area. Located in Latrobe City, Morwell River Falls are a set of waterfalls that lie in the upper reaches of the river near the township of Boolarra. Tucked away just out of Boolarra, it is a place of peace; its remote location and dense bushland is part of its charm. A walking trail takes you from the carpark past a series of stunning cascades in the upper reaches of the Morwell River in this oasis of native bush.
