22.01.2022 The newest Grenfell Art Gallery exhibition is 'McCue and Mackay Kindred Spirits' by Kathleen McCue and Catherine Mackay. Kathleen and Catherine met at the 2019 Grenfell Henry Lawson Festival and immediately felt a common kindred spirit and decided to exhibit together. For Kathleen McCue art is equal to breathing, a life force and daily habit. Variety is important, working with mediums which feed the soul and create excitement and joy. A love of flora and fauna inspires each p...iece from memories of a childhood spent at Mangrove Mountain, NSW. Kathleen also showcases her art in her own bespoke gallery, Patina Gallery Grenfell. Cath Mackay has enjoyed painting and drawing from a young age. She has a love of nature which inspires her to create with watercolour, mixed media, ink, silk and other textile arts. She enjoys using a varied colour palette and detail in her work. Cath also has a passion to create mosaic pieces, soft stone sculptures and capturing unusual images with photography. This exhibition will be on at the Grenfell Art Gallery until Wednesday 13th January 2021.
