This is the Jacaranda Villa as captured by @gfunk_ on Instagram, and we’re guessing you would love to be right here too!

18.01.2022 Crazy busy in Kangaroo Valley this evening! But honestly, this is why we love it here.

18.01.2022 There was movement in the Valley For the word had passed around That something mysterious was forming Like crop circles on the ground.... We were charged to go investigate And wondered what it could be We couldn’t decipher it from the ground T’was the great mystery of KV. But once we took a birds eye view The message became quite clear That to one and all in Kangaroo Valley We wish you a happy new year!

11.01.2022 An eerie sunken forest; wombats fossicking; quiet spaces all to yourself... These are just some of the things you will encounter when canoeing in Kangaroo Valley. Back in 2018, National Geographic Australia visited us and wrote this fabulous article that really paints a picture of what it’s like on the river. If you’ve been looking for a great holiday adventure, this is it!... https://www.australiangeographic.com.au//going-wild-kanga/ Don Fuchs via National Geographic

08.01.2022 Imagine if these walls could talk! The Commercial Hotel - now named The Friendly Inn - was built in 1891. Back in the day the floors were dirt, which was handy because long time residents say you could have been enjoying a beer right beside a cow or horse!... Fire raged through the historic building in 1932, gutting the interior and damaging the external walls of this beloved establishment. Luckily, some of the building's original character has been retained - although we're glad the floors have been upgraded!

08.01.2022 He can sing AND he can play a mean round of golf! Our local course at Kangaroo Valley Golf & Country Retreat was conquered by none other than Guy Sebastian over the long weekend. It’s a beautiful course designed by Jack Newton, with stunning views and even kangaroos to help you sink that putt!

08.01.2022 Arts in the Valley is officially open! Right across the long weekend you can view amazing paint, photographic and audiovisual works from talented artists across the country. Follow the arts trail around the valley or stay within the village and see the exhibitions at the community hall and The Hive. Find out all the details on their website and plan your trip: https://www.artsinthevalley.net.au

06.01.2022 Glyn from Kangaroo Valley Safaris certainly knows the river inside out and upside down, so whether you’re a beginner or experienced paddler, he will sort you out on your canoeing adventure! Take a short trip from the bridge to Bendeela, or plan a bigger journey to Tallowa Dam - the choice is yours. Either way, as the weather warms up this is an adventure like no other!

06.01.2022 When the view is this good, you can't help but sit and reflect (see what we did there?) Thanks to Nick Levey for this peaceful photo!

06.01.2022 While it may be the end of the weekend, we’ll just leave this here to tempt you to visit us again soon. Just 2 hours from Sydney and you could find yourself soaking up the warmth of those sunbeams in the greenest of green surrounds! @admir_t via Instagram

05.01.2022 Be in Kangaroo Valley on Friday December 4 for Xmas in the Valley! 04.01.2022 They’re on! The Kangaroo Valley Farmers Markets are on this Sunday from 9am to 1pm, in the backyard of The Friendly Inn. If you’re travelling home from school holidays make these markets your pit stop, pick up some gorgeous local stuff, enjoy a bite to eat and continue your journey home.... Be there!

04.01.2022 Enjoying an afternoon snack with the world’s best views!

04.01.2022 Relaxing weekends in Kangaroo Valley look a little bit like this. Just two and a bit hours from Sydney and Canberra you can dip your toe in these waters, find a shady spot beneath a leafy tree and enjoy a picnic without a care in the world. This truly is a special place!

02.01.2022 Friday feels courtesy of Skeeter, the KV town cat. Stretch it out, relax, and bring on the weekend!

01.01.2022 Just in case you’ve ever wondered what the plaque on Hampden Bridge says!

01.01.2022 The beautiful Fitzroy Falls, just 15 minutes from Kangaroo Valley. There are a few different walks you can do around the rim of the mountains here - and no matter which one you choose, the views are always spectacular!

01.01.2022 In Kangaroo Valley, not only do we do nature so well, we're also good at providing a dose of history. Hampden House is a great example of the character of our valley. Built in the late 1800's, this guest house is perfectly positioned beside the Kangaroo River and is a short walk into our historic township. But don't be fooled by its old world charm - there are plenty of modern luxuries included when you stay! Find out more about this unique accommodation: https://visitkangaroovalley.com.au/hampden-house
