20.01.2022 SHORT-TERM DRY ZONES A reminder to all residents and visitors that SA Police has requested short-term Dry Zones from 12pm Thursday, 31 December to 9am Friday,... 1 January in the following areas: Moonta Bay and Port Hughes foreshores (Area 1) Township of Wallaroo and North Beach (Area 4) The Dry Zone will prohibit the possession and consumption of alcohol in these areas during these times In addition, North Beach and Sailing Club Beach in Wallaroo will be closed to all vehicles from 7am Thursday, 31 December 2020 to 7am Friday, 1 January 2021 This temporary closure is pursuant to Section 33 of the Road Traffic Act 1961, under the authority delegated by the Minister of Transport under Section 11 of the said Act These restrictions are in place due to unlawful activity which has taken place previously on the Copper Coast More information on the short-term dry zones is available in The South Australian Government Gazette (Thursday, 8 October 2020) https://governmentgazette.sa.gov.au/
