21.01.2022 Why is walking in the woods so good for you? Exposure to forests strengthens our immune system, reduces blood pressure, increases energy, boosts our mood and helps us regain and maintain our focus in ways that treeless environments just don't. Now’s a good time don’t you think to spend more time with nature The Knoll National Park this morning was spectacular with the early rising sun shining through the trees. This is my favourite walk on the mountain and as I was walking... back from my walk, I snapped this couple while they were approaching the lookout area of Knoll National Park. It makes me smile when I see visitors from other countries also amazed at how beautiful our mountain is. If you haven't yet visited the Knoll or any of the mountain's National Parks, do yourself a favour and go for a walk. All maps of the walks are featured in the Visit Tamborine Mountain map brochures, on the map boards, on our website and facebook page or simply pop into the Information Centre to get directions. 21.01.2022 The Gold Coast Drumline made a visit to Tamborine Mountain Gallery Walk on Sunday. Due to the Covid situation the band have had limited events to attend. So, to keep up their practice they have been visiting venues all over the area and showing their awesome talents. Thank you GC Drumline

15.01.2022 WEEKENDER to visit at Thunderbird Park Want to squeeze the most out of your Saturday and Sunday? For many, Thunderbird Park is synonymous with thundereggs and fossicking. In fact, it has the largest deposit of thundereggs on the planet. The kids will love heading out with their buckets and bringing back their finds to take home with them.... There’s also the Tree Top Challenge High Ropes Course, Canyon Flyer guided zipline tour, horse trail riding that goes right through the hills, laser skirmish which is played in an outdoor battlefield in a rainforest, pickleball courts and an adventure mini golf course. Thunderbird Park is an easy and welcome day trip from Brisbane or the Gold Coast during these school holidays, and if you want to stay a little longer, there are plenty of options at Cedar Creek Lodges. Oh and the four-legged friends are welcome, now that’s a cherry on top! 08.01.2022 Have you visited the Sooty Owl’s Creek side Trail at the Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens? It’s a great little trail for children visiting or living on the mountain. A wonderful short walk of about 20 minutes through a small shady section of rainforest in Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens. Featuring an old fashioned water wheel, cubby houses, swinging bridges, a stile, chimes to be played with a thong, a water pump, informative notices about nature, animals, owls and the ...rainforest.. With the sounds of a small creek running and birds nearby.. A photographers paradise and sure to delight children and even adults.. Just follow the signs to the Botanical Gardens from the top roundabout on Gallerywalk and look out for the signs to the Sooty Owl's Creek side Trail.

05.01.2022 Welcome to Scarecrow festival week...and what a fun week it is. We've had lots of visitors popping into the centre to collect their scarecrow maps. These maps are also located at all the large map boards around the mountain. You will also see scarecrow trail signs around the mountain. This morning we did a quick trip around the mountain to take our own photos and we've named some of the streets that you will find scarecrows in. There are so many more fabulous scarecrows t...hat we didn't get to photograph that are in Main Street and Gallery Walk. A big thanks to a little visitor we had in Tyra Jackson who provided us with some photos as well from her collection of scare crow photos. Tyra is holidaying on the mountain. We've also had some children bring in their colouring in which which we have proudly displayed in the Information Centre. And on my early walk this morning I came across a lovely family on Alpine Tce hanging out with the Wizard of OZ scarecrow crew. For an early Sunday morning, the mountain was buzzing with visitors following the scarecrow trail. It was lovely to see. Apologies if some of the scarecrow addresses are incorrect, if they are they will only be a street or road away from the correct address. See more
