04.01.2022 ‘Lagoon’ is a new work by public artists Goldberg Aberline Studio - Artists who create joyous immersive experiences (GAS) and Wiradjuri artist Owen Lyons - Wiradjuri Art. Consisting of 24 fabric inflatables, some up to 2.5 metres high, the 'Lagoon' artwork will float on the Wollundry Lagoon as part of this weekend's Lost Lanes winter festival in Wagga Wagga and will remain in place for two weeks. The patterned reed-like inflatables will catch the wind and gently sway. Lyons...’ artwork forms the key visual printed surface element of the inflatables as they emerge from the water.
