Sometimes we get so focussed on the big vistas and waterfall lookouts (of which we're spoilt for choice around here!) that we forget about the small things... This mosaic (Rainbow Serpent) was made by the renowned indigenous artist Gordon Hookey, with the collaboration of local indigenous people. 08.01.2022 There’s a heap of adjectives that people use to describe Walcha friendly, quirky, fun, wonderful, artistic, beautiful but one that crops up from time to time, is ‘wild’. Certainly there’s some wild nature in our National Parks, wild rivers, wild scenery and lots of wild-life! The art’s pretty wild, and you’ll no doubt find some wild crafts, homewares, fashions, and antiques around town. There are some wild characters of course. The friendly locals you’ll meet at the pub will spin a wild yarn or two Wild rides, wild waterfalls so what else? In this short video, we’d like to show you some of our favourite wild experiences.
