25.01.2022 Well, after the excellent rains recently our Hemp crop progressed amazingly. So from the mid-jan planting they are now range between 1.5m and 2.5m. We intend on harvesting next month, so will see what these 2m high (on average) plants can yield.

13.01.2022 Well, it’s that time again (a bit later compared to last year). We are sowing hemp for the 20/21 season. This time just sowing along the disused grapevine trellis. Seeding at 20cm apart. We prepared by slashing and mulching, it’s hard work pushing through the mulch.
12.01.2022 Harvesting our crop today, after two plantings (Mid Jan 2020 and early March 2020), they are finally ready. I will harvest the whole plant and dry in a shade cloth for the next few months. These are all destined for the table as de-hulled hemp seed.

05.01.2022 Harvested the last of the plants recently (July 24 2020) probably part of the second planting early March 2020. There was a frost (-1 to 0 Celsius) in the morning, but no impact on the plants at all.
