22.01.2022 Here’s something to keep in your diaries! The South West Wellness Symposium is being held in October in Busselton! I can’t wait to attend!

21.01.2022 Well I made the @pana_organic brownie featured on their page a few days ago. Head on over to check it out. Super simple recipe and it’s really quite delicious. It’s very bananary (is that even a word!) My suggestion would be to use the caramel or hazelnut spread in it Oh Em Gee delicious! I also had to bake it for 40 mins. Other than that it was excellent and the texture is amazing.

20.01.2022 Good Morning to you I want to remind you about the foundations of good health and hope you’re aiming to achieve all of these today (except maybe because I think it’s going to rain here today ) Eat your veggies Move your body Laugh... Sunshine (how about natural light today if there’s no sun!) Drink quality water Have a good sleep See more

18.01.2022 Here is some very solid advice. Did you notice the main government ‘health’ bodies have offered little to no advice on supporting the immune system? That makes me go hmmm Our immune systems can function extremely well, but we need to support them!... I’m in total agreeance with Ross. Sunshine, zinc, vitamin c - these are amazing components for having a well functioning body. It comes back to my fundamentals of good health!

17.01.2022 JP Sears is incredibly funny, his video is worth a looksie and a laugh (perhaps before it’s taken down) https://youtu.be/P0y6M-N8wOE

17.01.2022 You don’t have enough time to make good food? Well here’s a little trade secret...it’s called meal prepping! Featured here is a beautifully easy salad that you can store in the fridge for around 3 days. That’s 3 days worth of salads that you only have to make once! The trick to this is no dressing, dress it when you serve it. Add a couple of boiled eggs, a can of salmon or other protein component and voila...a perfect lunch with very little effort!

16.01.2022 THE FOUNDATIONS OF HEALTH This is where it all starts, if you don’t have these in place, how can you have health? you need sunshine, for your happiness and for the Vitamin D levels which are imperative for hormone production, immune health, bone health and more you need water to keep all of the organs in your body functioning as a basic beginning most of your nutrients come from veggies, they are of utmost importance to your health... moving your body needs to happen, you should walk as a bare minimum...incidental exercise is included here. Weight bearing exercise would be an excellent inclusion, not just for bone density, but for your mental health - it’s the most under utilised antidepressant around you’ve got to sleep, rest and restore say no more and perhaps my favourite, you’ve got to laugh - this is your connection to community and a fundamental part to having good health Taking a look at your life, can you see where any foundations are perhaps out of balance? Might be time to make some little tweaks to give you the best foundations to good health https://www.vitalnutrition.net.au//the-foundations-of-heal

15.01.2022 WATER QUALITY Do you drink the tap water? I really don’t recommend this! Especially after seeing my water filters when I changed them! Scroll through to see the difference between the brand new and the year old filters. I’m assuming this brown substance is dirt/iron/rust? What else is in the filter that we can’t see? I know that I do not want to be drinking this!... Getting a whole house water filter is really money well spent, about $500 to have it installed and $200 a year after that for filters. These ones don’t filter out the fluoride, but you can get an extra filter in the kitchen for that. I notice a massive difference showering without all of the chlorine. It’s so much better for my skin, and let’s remember the skin is the biggest organ so all of that nasty chlorine will be absorbed through the skin. As an additional benefit, it’s better for my appliances and the shower stays far cleaner as there is a lot less water marking on the glass. You’ll also see here that the @watercorporation states The drinking water we supply is of excellent quality. I think perhaps my interpretation of excellent quality is somewhat different! So now, will you keep drinking the tap water? See more

14.01.2022 RETREAT TREATS I was totally privileged to be asked to create some snacks for the @the_reset_retreats hosted by @3elements_health / @red_rock_karratha I get so much joy from cooking for others, or in the case of this request - not cooking! The star of the raw show was of course the berry white chocolate cheesecake . I haven’t made one of these little beauties for years, it was such a pleasure to make and even more so to see the retreat guests enjoying it so much

14.01.2022 I’m feeling pretty stoked to have one of my wildflower pictures featured in the Western Australia post yesterday! WA is home to the best wildflowers in the world and I’m incredibly grateful to have seen such a vast variety of them!

14.01.2022 Ever so empowering is Sam...highly recommend watching her video.

13.01.2022 SPRING IN THE SOUTH WEST I met a couple along the path who were ‘orchid hunters’, I was pretty lucky to bump into them. They shared their passion for hunting orchids and said that this year was one of the best they had seen around the Dunsborough area. They were serious orchid hunters and spent the entire spring around the south chasing them. They knew all the botanical names and were more than obliging to share some of their wisdom with me. As they departed they said now you have your orchid eyes on they will be easy to spot!. They were right, the orchids I had previously walked past I could now easily spot! Because of them I’ve developed more of an interest in orchids, were as previously I didn’t. Here’s a small selection of the beautiful flowers I’ve seen this spring. It really is the most beautiful time of year

12.01.2022 I’m not sure how this is even acceptable! I know it’s part of the agenda to have a social credit system like China, but I’m still shocked to see this announced. Soon people on welfare (and let’s remember, so many people have been pushed onto welfare because of the economic collapse) will not be able to access things like public transport, entry to specific events or areas, food without complying with the social credit system that the government will no doubt be bringing in (medical compliance) to accompany this facial recognition system. I feel for the generations behind us, I feel for our generation as well...mostly because people are not alarmed about what is actually happening. It will be too late before people realise how detrimental this is going to be to our society and culture.

11.01.2022 Wildflowers of the Wheatbelt & Shark Bay I’ve finally got around to posting these snaps from my recent trip up the WA coast. The Shark Bay Daisy is really quite stunning and of course only found in Shark Bay - it’s incredible colour is very striking and it contrasts beautifully with the red sand and blue sky Most of the others are featured from around Yuna, Coalseam, Mullewa and Mingenew. Because these towns are only about 4 hours from Perth, it’s an easy weekend getaway during the wildflower season.

10.01.2022 We all know exercise is good for us, but the key to exercising is to find something you LOVE! I’ve found my love in mountain biking - I mean doesn’t the size of that smile say it all?! Exercise is one of the foundations of health (not sure what I’m talking about? Go back a few posts to see what other foundations of health are non-negotiable for me). I’m a bit of a late comer to the sport and would probably rate myself as an advanced beginner, but regardless of my s...kill level I enjoy it so much and get the biggest rush from it! That’s why I do it! I have a large aversion to anything risk based so eire on the side of caution, I’m not sure how that’s going to help my progression to do jumps But I was the kid who pushed my little sister out to try something first, and if it didn’t look too risky then I may give it a go. I’ve never done a handstand or cartwheel (that was far too risky for me to ever try ). The point to that is - I ride within my limits so that I feel safe while getting the biggest kick out of it! So find something you love doing and then exercise won’t be a chore! However to get the most enjoyment out of any sport, a good level of fitness is required. It helps my climbs so that I don’t whinge too much (believe me I find the energy for this!) when they are big hills, it also helps just as much on the decent as you need good muscles for that too. That’s where going to the gym has really improved things for me. I have to say my fitness this winter has been a little abysmal so to get back into the gym has really been the icing on the cake. Lifting weights increases strength so you don’t tire as easily, but a great side effect from that is the mental health gains. I cannot believe how incredible lifting weights is for mood! Another exercise I love is walking barefoot on the beach. It’s incredibly grounding and great for your mental wellness with the added advantage of increasing your vitamin D levels Exercise really is key to having good health. You’ve gotta find something that you love, do it often and with passion. What’s your favourite way to exercise? See more

07.01.2022 I am so totally privileged to have been involved with my first ever retreat, and with the best ladies I could ever imagine. April and Jan run the most amazing retreats, I first hand witnessed just how passionate and amazing they are at running such retreats. If going on a wellness retreat is something you’ve been considering, then I highly recommend you take a look at these incredible retreats.

04.01.2022 BEING BALANCED - I love the fact that I am a balanced nutritionist. I love the fact that I share this balance with @3elements_health We are real, we share a love of quality wine . We’re not afraid to admit to our clients that we have the odd drink, or eat chocolate and icecream at times. What we do 80% of the time matters, the other 20% of the is what makes is 100% human. It’s about connection and community and enjoyment. If you don’t have that, then what’s the point. We love life, and wine, and each other Pictured here at Fishbone Wines, where the food is exceptional too!
