21.01.2022 HABITS Whether they are conscious/subconscious, good/bad, we all have habits, and when you’re trying to better yourself either; 1. Forming new habits, or 2. Breaking old habits, ... Can be one of the hardest parts of the process Let’s start with new healthy habits, this is an easier one because your focus is on the action itself, add it on to some part of an existing routine/part of your day (ie, if you keep forgetting to drink water, down a glass with every meal. The action of eating now becomes the trigger for remembering to drink water) Your reward for achieving it will be a feeling of proper hydration inducing clarity, boosting energy and overall wellness. Breaking old habits can be hard, so start by focusing on the outcome / reward of your new actions and apply that to forming other healthier habits ie deep breathing? Sitting in the sun? Going for a walk? Exercising? Stretching? Massage? Remember not all actions will result in an equal amount of the reward (especially if it’s a dopamine reward (happy/reward chemical), but don’t let treating a symptom (brain fog/lack of energy) become a habit by smashing stimulants (caffeine, sugars, nicotine etc all day) instead of addressing the root cause ( ie bad sleep, stress, dehydration, tension) so always remember WHY you’re changing/adapting the habit in the first place. Start small if need be but JUST START! Right Here, Right Now, Your future you will be much better off for it. You do not decide your future, You decide your habits, And your habits decide your future
