20.01.2022 Exercise is only 5% of your daily expenditure! So why not just diet? This is a very important concept to learn if you are wanting to lose weight! BMR and NEAT combined is 85% of your daily energy. They are increased by a healthy and active lifestyle. ... BMR (basal metabolic rate) 70% is amount of energy expended at rest E.g breathing and circulation. BMR can be increased via muscular size and after a work out. NEAT( non exercise activity thermogenesis) 15% which basically means all your daily movement besides exercise e.g walking from kitchen to the lounge. This is increased via muscular size and choosing to take the stairs instead of the elevator. TEF (Thermic effect of food) 10%. TEF is the energy expended via processing and storing food. This is increase by larger meals and higher protein meals EAT (exercise activity thermogensis) 5%. Is the the amount of energy we use to exercise.

04.01.2022 How to approach your fitness journey mentally. If a strong wave of motivation hits you and you decide to start up your fitness journey. Don't go and have an intense work out! You have to go and slowly build up your tolerance to exercise. If you destroy yourself physically, it will reinforce the fact that exercise is hard. Alternatively, if you go and have a easy/fun work out, it will make you associate exercise with enjoyment.
