25.01.2022 Have you heard the term "Ostrich' look" relating to the neck? We have oil glands in our neck and they have a yellowish tone to them and as the skin becomes thinner that yellow tone starts to become more apparent in the neck area and this is called the Ostrich look. (Closest animal I could find with a long neck!) The thinning of the skin on the neck shows the under muscles called, the platysma muscle band, and it gives a bumpy band look to the skin. As we are thinning ...the skin in that area we are also starting to see the broken blood vessels more clearly which increases the redness that can be apparent in that skin area. The pictures below shows what happens. The lady in the second picture has treated her neck showing great results.
