22.01.2022 WORLD VITILIGO DAY - 25TH JUNE, 2019 Oxidative stress plays a key role in pathogenesis yet few treatments address this pathway. A 2019 study investigated the effects of a topical preparation containing herbal bioactives (Vitilinex) alone and in combination with nbUVB phototherapy in the treatment of localized stable or active forms of vitiligo. Results showed that Vitilinex herbal bio-actives in combination with nbUVB is a more effective treatment option for vitiligo with ...87% of the patients achieving a re-pigmentation rate higher than 50%, compared to Vitilinex alone (65%) or nbUVB alone (62.5%). Results were largely attributed to the strong antioxidant properties. (Van, T.N, et al 2019) (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6364738/) Prof. Michael Tirant in conjunction with the Dr Michaels Skin Clinic in Vietnam, will be launching the Vitilinex product range for Vitiligo prone skin. This product range includes Australian made, steroid-free, premium quality oral and topical products which possess strong antioxidant properties. #vitiligo #worldvitiligoday #worldvitiligoday2019 #vitilinex #vitilinexproducts See more
