24.01.2022 It is with a heavy heart that we must announce that today will be our last day at Viva . The government announced last night forced closures of beauty salons. . Thank you for all the support my Viva Beauties, you are our second family and the last 4 years with you all have been some of the most precious memories... . To Lucy- you are the most beautiful, kind and selfless woman. I could never have survived the last few weeks without you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. . We will still be taking product orders so please please get in touch. You will be supporting us in so many ways. 24.01.2022 UPDATE Hello Viva Beauties . We are missing you all so so much and we have been thinking about you and your families throughout this time. Through all the difficult times we hope you have been able to slow down, reflect and find some peace amongst all the noise. We have been loving a very slow paced life with our little ones, and they have thrived having the undivided attention of mum and dad .... So, the update- Last week the government announced the three step plan to lifting restrictions and they gave a date of June 15 for beauty salons to reopen . We absolutely cannot wait to open our doors again and see all your wonderful faces. We have an intention to open again on June 17 but we won’t be opening our appointment book as yet. This date is heavily dependent on public health announcements over the coming 5 weeks . It is early days and complacency is not something we believe is wise . So please keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages for more information over the coming weeks, we will continue to update you as the weeks pass and get in touch as soon as we are making bookings . Behind the scenes we are working hard on our processes and hygiene practices to ensure the safety of our beautiful clients and staff when we do re-open . 15.01.2022 The coming months are going to be a difficult time for us all. But we are all in control of how we react to situations . We all must take the advice being given to us seriously, but try and avoid hysteria . This is a time where we need to support each other, in so many ways.... Let’s draw on Tasmania’s unique community mentality. Support each other emotionally wherever we can, be generous, spread kindness . Where you can, continue to support small Tassie businesses. They need you to stay afloat. This is essential not only for people’s livelihood but also essential in maintaining some sense of togetherness. A United approach. Protect what we have here . This virus will eventually leave us, and we are all waiting for that day. But in the meantime we need to protect what will be left at the end of it all . Business as usual for us at Viva, so please continue to support us where you can. We are going to try everything we can to remain open and get through this uncertain time. But the sad reality is that we may not make it through without your help . We have implemented MANY hygiene practices to make sure our environment is safe for our clients and staff. 15.01.2022 VIVA UPDATE . Hello my Viva Beauties, As some of you will have seen, restrictions have lifted a little early. We however are not ready to open early. There are many guidelines that must be adhered to in order to reopen safely and I will be using this coming fortnight to fine tune everything before opening on Friday June 19th. .... Sadly, Lucy won’t be returning to Viva as she is seeking a full time role which she needs at this time in her live. She has been the most wonderful addition to our little salon and will be truly missed. . This however leaves me in a slightly sticky situation with a 4 month old and 2.5 year old at home So I am only able to return to the salon one day per week at this stage. . I opened up my books yesterday and was flooded with love I feel so grateful to have such wonderful clients/friends in my life. . This does however mean that I am now fully booked for my first 4 Fridays and my first availability at this stage is July 17th, but this is almost full also. . I do understand that this isn’t ideal, and I will do my best to accommodate everyone I can. My books are only open to existing, loyal clients, but there is still just not enough room for everyone. So please be patient throughout this time and I can’t wait to see you all. I have missed you all so so much . Online bookings aren’t available at this stage as I am trying to manage the bookings so as to give first preferences to my lovely loyal ladies. . 11.01.2022 VIVA NEWS . As my beauties are aware it has been a wild ride over the last five years. You have been through two pregnancies with me and the arrival of my two little ones, the comings and goings of staff, overseas trips and unforeseen closures (didn’t see that one coming did we!). You have all supported me no matter what I have thrown your way and for that I will be forever grateful . You have become my family, each and every one of you. Viva has been my home away from home a...nd has allowed me to grow as a therapist and to support my little family. . However, the last year has proven that with the edition of little Zoe to our clan, I need to be closer to my little family. I don’t have the flexibility that you all deserve and it is for this reason that I have decided that a change is on the horizon for me and that it is time to handover the reigns to someone new and exciting! . Someone who’s little ones are now all grown up and is ready to launch into this beautiful space and treat you all like the wonderful women you are. To open the doors full time again, to allow more availability and flexibility. And to bring a breath of fresh air into this little salon that has been here for such a long long time (as many of you have been here from inception) . Over the coming two months you will get to meet the wonderful Karyn as we will be slowly handing over between now and November. I will not be leaving quickly as I want to see you all again before I go and introduce you to your new owner . Please continue to show your support to Karyn as you have with me, as she is where I was 5 years ago, taking the leap of faith and launching into her own salon.
