19.01.2022 Everyone has a story or reason behind the drive which takes them towards reaching their goals and the vision they create for themselves. This is mine. I’ve had many ask why I switched from music to fitness! Rather than put it as an insta story I thought I’d post it. . It’s never too late to chase a new dream. Making new goals keeps you on your toes and makes life more exciting. . I love helping people. I love teaching. I love coaching. I love challenging people’s way of... thinking in terms of bettering themselves... I love watching clients grow in confidence and progress and we celebrate those wins together. I don’t just focus on musicians, music and it’s industry has just been a part of my life since the age of 5. Really my goal is to help educate and support individuals to better themselves mentally and physically! To finish, my inbox is always open to anyone - feel free to send me a message anytime . . . . . #australia #musicindustry #fitnessindustry #violinist #violinteacher #personaltrainer #jtperformancecentre #prevention #rehabilitation #musculoskeletaldisorder #musicdegree #classicalmusician #fitnesscoach #mentalgrowth #driveforsuccess #supportnetwork See more

16.01.2022 We need to talk ... about the stigma associated with going to the gym Recently I put up a poll & questions asking those on my Instagram page about feeling intimidated/nervous about going to the gym. 62% of those who voted said yes to feeling this! The reasons why all differed:... Don’t want to humiliate yourself (not sure what to do, if you are doing it right or how to use equipment) Find a coach/gym that corresponds with what you want. Ensure that they are knowledgable but also have the right values. Don’t be shy to talk to a few places. Don’t give in and just settle for the first gym you go to. Check out the gym or coaches social media page & message them questions! Scared to get injured A coaches priority is to help & educate you! A good coach will not judge you for not knowing an exercise nor will they turn their back on you if you ask for help and guidance - that is what they are there for!! You also need to allow yourself to have no ego and be open to feedback. Especially if this saves you from injuring yourself! Lack of confidence/Self conscious about your body because it doesn’t fit in with those at the gym Hear me out - There is no CHANGE if there is no ACTION... everyone has to start somewhere There is no short cut, you have to put in the hard yards... if you are just starting out at the gym you can’t compare yourself to someone who has been going to the gym for 5+ years! Everyone is at different stages. The thing that makes you fit in is the fact that you and everyone else there has taken that step to prioritise health in their life. The right community/coach and environment should be supportive, understanding and encouraging you to reach your goals too! Not knowing anyone/going by yourself If you are nervous to go by yourself bring a friend/family member. If you don’t know where to start then message me and let’s go grab a coffee and just chat! Exercising should have a purpose and a positive mindset should be attached to that. #fitnesscoach #personaltrainer #gymstigma #scared #insecure #intimidated #gym #mentality #businessmodel #wellnessthatworks #postivemindset #trainingmindset #gymcommunity #goldengrove

06.01.2022 Look at G’s squat progress! . One of the best things about being a coach is seeing the client progress in many ways and as everyone measures success different for Gracie it has been: Education into components which are beneficial for executing a squat - breathing & bracing concept Understanding why and how to execute the movement ... Growing her self belief & confidence Increase in body awareness - she needs plates under her heels as she has poor ankle mobility (but we are working on that ) . Keep up the good work darling! . . . . #tighthamstrings #anklemobility #squatlife #hipcomplex #soccer #athletics #personaltrainer #fitnesscoach #musician #southaus #goldengrove #strengthandconditioninggym #breathing #bracing See more

04.01.2022 SINGLE LEG ROMANIAN DEADLIFTS. Functional exercise Works your lower extremity posterior chain (erector spinal muscles, gluteal, hamstrings, calves, etc.) Challenges your dynamic balance which is relied upon in sports & fall prevention. This is a great exercise to add into your warm up as a movement prep (before squats, conventional deadlifts etc.)!... . Things to keep in mind: It is extremely common to turn out your hips during this movement - ultimately tilting your pelvis, hip & centre of gravity To counteract this put your fingers on your SIJ (aka back dimples) if you feel one side more prominent than the other your hips are rotating Soft knees Hinging from the hip (TIP: as demonstrated in my video - for a beginner put a bench in front of you to stop your knee from bending excessively) Keeping hips & pelvis high and in the horizontal plane = more effective activation of the posterior chain Back leg is straight and foot is pointed down towards the ground .Try it out and let me know how you go!.#glutes #hamstrings #lowerposteriorchain #singlelegrdl #personaltrainer #hiphinge #movementprep #fitnesscoach See more
