25.01.2022 What's up Dan! We're sure many of you have met, and agree that Dan is our resident Mr Nice Guy.... just don't get on his bad side! Especially by beating him in Monopoly CLAIM TO FAME:... I once played football against Steele Sidebottom - and had nothing on me! Although, he was manned up with two defenders and still single handedly won the game for his team If not a chiropractor, then what? An Architect or a Landscaper Favourite part of being part of the team Having such a fun and dynamic team with a mix of personalities.

25.01.2022 Lest we forget... What a show the Riverland sky put on to remember them this morning

24.01.2022 Happy Birthday Dan! Dan is the big 3-0 today, and is so loved that even his mother in law went out of her way to drop him this delicious cake! Thanks Helen - it definitely topped the one we had last week for Dan (and Sydney who also celebrated a birthday) which read Happy Birthday Don

24.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day to the Dad of our team! Your work kids hope you enjoyed the day with your real fam

24.01.2022 On Wednesday's, we wear green..... Well actually, last week it was light blue. Apparently Chiro's who think alike, dress alike

23.01.2022 Mothers Day 2020 We hope you were able to connect with your mum or the people who are mum figures in your life - whether it was in person, virtually, or even spiritually xx

22.01.2022 It's safe to say 2020 has been a testing year for all . With Christmas just around the corner it's got us thinking how grateful we are for this time of year. We decided to ask the team what Christmas means to them and put it together in a little video. Let us know below what Christmas means to you!

22.01.2022 Friday feels.... Stay tuned next week for some info on some quick exercises to help combat our sedentary work week and less than ideal office set ups (I'm looking at you guys working from home! HA).

21.01.2022 Oh hey there Britt Everyone meet Brittany - the newest member to our growing team. As a Vivaci tradition we had her answer some questions so we could all get to know her better CLAIM TO FAME....... I did win a local tennis tournament in Grade C2 in 2010 and was undefeated for the day despite having never played tennis before and not even owning a racquet If not a Chiro, then what? Most likely an architect What are you most excited about with joining the team? Being surrounded by like minded and supportive people, whilst also having fun

20.01.2022 Hi there Suba!! Suba joined the team at the start of the year! She is best known for being super tidy & organised (possibly the next Marie Kondo). CLAIM TO FAME:... In 2012 whilst living in Malayisa I won a writing competition with a fantasy piece! You could basically say I'm an (almost) author If not a chiropractor, then what? An artist, and interior designer, or a writer Favourite part of being a part of the Vivaci Team I feel like I've found my comfort zone

19.01.2022 Hello Jess! Many of you would already know Jess from around the practices, though she is best known to us for her loud (and contagious) laugh, and for being Charlie's mum CLAIM TO FAME:... Singing against Lisa Mitchell (who later featured in Australian Idol) in the Albury Wodonga Eisteddfod back in the day. Needless to say - I didnt win. Given half the team hadnt even heard of Lisa, I'm not sure it is such a claim to fame after all! If not a chiropractor, then what? As a teenager I wanted to be a hairdresser .... or a marine biologist Now it's hard to imagine not doing what I'm doing. I love supporting and challenging people in living to their higher purpose - and discovering mine! Favourite part of being part of the team That I can bring my dog to work. Ha ha. I love the team - to me, we are like a little dysfunctional family unit and I love how we work together to create great outcomes for people.

19.01.2022 Its with mixed emotions at Vivaci this week as we farewell Emma. Shes moving on to a new adventure. Emma has been an integral part of the team in her role as Practice Manager, animal (especially cats) lover, and superstar Chiropractic Assistant since starting with us in 2017. For many of you, she has been a big part of your health journey and we know youll miss her too. We wish you all the best Em, and we know youll do great things! And thanks for our delicious gifts Em - we promise we will share them with the rest of the Team...

18.01.2022 Waikerie vibes Thanks to Peter Santella for sharing some of his musical talent at the Waikerie practice last week! We look forward to you being able to get out and about and share your love of country music again with people.

18.01.2022 Update for all... We will be in touch for upcoming appointments. Stay safe

18.01.2022 Doggy Chiro!! Dan had a week off last week, so Charlie (with his human helper) stepped in to Berri for some fun. We're lucky to have such a good advisor, who continues to make sure the human chiro's are adjusting up to his standards!

17.01.2022 Our CA's love receiving cuddles #koalabears #cuddles

17.01.2022 Hey hey Regan! Regan is best known (with her mate Tina) for being scared of birds. Don't expect us to have a practice bird anytime soon! CLAIM TO FAME... Being so keen to have maternity leave, she decided to have Darcy 6 weeks early! Plus the baby brain that came before his arrival - certainly made for some giggles for us all! If not a Chiropractic Assistant, then what Hairdresser, of course! Go to playlist? If it's not some accidental bangers, it's probably going to be some acoustic cover songs. Favourite part of being a part of the Vivaci Team The dynamic in which we work, every one is equal, we are supported, appreciated and like a family.

16.01.2022 Our new website is now up and running!!! A big thanks to Sarah & Laura Design - Adelaide and our very own Jess for all their blood, sweat, and tears into those internet pages. And to the rest of the team for all their proofing and opinions in creating soemthing that reflects us as a team. You'll find information on each of our practices, a little bit about us, and most importantly - what we can do for you! For those of you yet to begin your Chiropractic Care, we hope this giv...e you a bit of an idea of what you can expect. Be sure to check out our blogs as well which we will regularly add to - plus, you can subscribe to our emails! See the link below https://vivacichiro.com.au/ Keep an eye out over the next few days, as we (re)introduce our team!

16.01.2022 With the warmer weather hitting us quickly this year, it is a great time to either keep up your regular exercise or even better - to begin! When we talk about exercise, the first thing we tend to think of is strenuous, sweaty work that seems to push our bodies and is usually, quite frankly, hard work. In reality, exercise can be anything you enjoy that moves your body. Whether it be taking the dog for a walk, going for a swim or even playing in the backyard with the kids. Her...e are 3 benefits to moving your body! Strengthen your bones and muscles. Frequent exercise can help kids and teens develop strong bones. Later in life, it can also decelerate the loss of bone density that comes with age. Reduce your risk of falls. For older adults, it has been proven that doing balance and muscle-strengthening activities in adjunct to mild-intensity aerobic activity can help reduce your risk of falling. It triggers the growth of new brain cells. Neuroscientists previously believed the brain was the only organ incompetent of growing new cells, which somewhat makes sense since we need our brains to be stable over time, to keep our memories intact and to keep us.. well as us. But, in recent years it has become evident that the brain too, can cultivate new neurons in a process called neurogenesis. https://www.healthline.com/nutriti/10-benefits-of-exercise https://medlineplus.gov/benefitsofexercise.html

16.01.2022 We missed it Spinal Health Week was a couple weeks ago, though you can never be too late to the party right?! #considerachiro

15.01.2022 Friday funnies... That yearly planner being a waste certainly resonates! Being in flow and flexible with plans, rather than rigid and trying to control it all has been some of my biggest learning over the last few weeks.... Here's to a weekend of going slow and dreaming. Oh, and maybe watching Tiger King - there's a certain madness to the people in it that will have you feeling "normal" again in 7 short episodes

15.01.2022 Did you know? Our nervous system is the body's master system and it connects our brain to our body - every single cell in our body that is! And since it's so important, we have the spinal cord and brain encased in bone. So perhaps it's pretty important we have a well functioning spinal structure as well to support this? ... Chiropractic is about improving the flow of information throughout the body naturally, keeping your body and mind connected.

14.01.2022 And that's a wrap for Easter 2020! A one unlike any other. As we head into school holidays that look a little different as well! Updates for the practice: As you know, we have been watching everything very carefully, and placing safety at the top of the list. We are here and following all recommendations, as we are sure you are too. ... Everyone is aware of needing to isolate if you have been travelling recently, you are unwell, or if you have had contact with any known/suspected cases of COVID-19. We may also ask you this as you enter the practices, as we offer hand sanitiser. This is not to offend, rather to ensure we are all dong everything we can. While we have measures in place, we also understand if at this stage youd like to reschedule an appointment. If you feel you are at risk due to age, health status or any other circumstance please let us know. We want you to feel safe, supported and empowered in your health, however that may look to you. If there is something you need help with if you are required to isolate, reach out. Were in the process of looking into some Telehealth options for those of you at home in need of some advice, tools or exercises that might be able to help you feel a bit better if you feel that you can't or don't wish to attend that practice. Stay tuned for more information here. Stay well, stay safe, and we will see you soon.

14.01.2022 We played our first game of mixed netball last Wednesday... and we won!! Go team! This week we didn't quite walk away with the win, though luckily we have now changed our weekly team meetings to netball training instead Our number one supporter, Parker, watched on and thought we played an amazing game... (or maybe he just thought we were hilarious to watch fumbling around on court!)

13.01.2022 Who wore it best? Do you have a pair of blue light blocker glasses? Jess does, and she loves them ! For those of you wondering what we are on about, blue light glasses have a filtered lens that obstructs blue light from getting through to our eyes. Technology screens emit blue light waves - which act to boost attention, reaction times and mood. This is great during the day but quite disruptive at night time - and because we tend to increase our use of them at night, it can affect the quality of our sleep. Jess wears hers at night, as lights start to go on at home, to help her wind down before bed. From her sleep tracker, there has been an improvement in deep sleep. So, it’s worth the teasing of being called Elton for a better night’s sleep !

13.01.2022 How are our kids feeling? It's a thought I've had many a time over the last few days. This article gave me a little smile tonight in the midst of what has felt like a surreal week. Kids are so perceptive - more than I think we ever remember we were by the time we "grow up". Norway's PM gets it! ... Let kids know it's ok to be scared and feel uneasy and to have feelings. We don't even need to tell them that it's all going to be ok... let's simply let them know we are there for them. Help them ride the wave of emotions, as they are incredibly resilient. Let's remember to connect in this time of social distancing. To all teachers and parents - we are thinking of you. We're here if you need. Not to tell you that it's all going to be ok, we're here to listen and lend an ear as well. And for the kids, well we love hearing your thoughts. You often have a unique way of viewing things that we "adults" haven't yet thought of. So thank you for helping us. - Jess https://megaphone.upworthy.com/p/norway-kids-press-conferen

11.01.2022 And we’re baaaaaack...... has everyone else caught up now too? Ha! Jess, Dan, Suba and Brittany will be on deck as per usual on Monday and Tuesday across our practices. We’ve done our best to get things back to how they were, and we understand you all might have some unwinding of your own to do! ... So give us a buzz if we can help at all, or if you feel we have missed something. Note: Tina will be back on Wednesday. Monday and Tuesday will be study time, as this Saturday she has her final exam for the two year Diplomate of Functional Neurodevelopment in Chiropractic. Good luck Tina!

10.01.2022 Meet Tina!! Tina is Charlie's second mum - the naughty mum. You'll often find her sneaking him some of her lunch and buying him fancy winter jackets. She is best known for her culinary expertise and love for the Riverland' fresh produce. ... CLAIM TO FAME: Whilst living in Queensland I entered into the Innisfail Royal Show baking competition, almost making a clean sweep. Until the last award of the day - I only managed to get 2nd place. If not a chiropractor, then what? Owner of an Italian pasta bar Favourite part of being part of the team The family vibe!

10.01.2022 The realities of weekly Chiro meetings - what we imagine, and what we get! Here's the Chiro team learning some new stuff on Neuro Impulse Protocol to continue to learn how we can best help you all.

09.01.2022 Hey there Jorja! Jorja is one of the newest on the team having joined us in January, though she was quick to make herself at home. She is known around the office for her dry sense of humour, working out, and her love for kids and doggo's ... CLAIM TO FAME In 2008 I was featured in the R.M Williams Outback magazine with my Pop at the Longreach Rodeo "Yee haw!" If not a Chiropractic Assistant, then what? Either a farmer or a PT! Go to playlist? Anything that is a throwback.. usually the 80s, everyone loves the 80s. Favourite part of being a part of the Vivaci Team - Working with like minded people who encourage and push one another to be better -

08.01.2022 In the midst of all the craziness, we're here to help. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any queries or concerns and see attached our letter to our Practice Members reiterating our commitment to YOUR HEALTH!

08.01.2022 Merry Xmas in JULY! The team got together to celebrate early this year to avoid the end of year rush. And to allow us the chance to wear our favourite winter Xmas knits! Little Darcy may have stolen the show with a vintage little winter knit. Dan was a close second though with his "I love Santa" jumper. A massive thank you to 23rdstreetdistillery for hearing it was our Xmas show and setting up this delightful xmas cheer table for us! And for the amazing service, great food a...nd cocktails as always! We then went for a sneaky game of mini golf - no photos though as we didn't want to put anyone off their golf game. Berri Riverside Caravan Park have a great course, and while we didn't realise is was up and running again, they also have a great little kiosk set up with a wood fire pizza and all! Definitely worth checking out.

07.01.2022 Charlie boy had some time working from home recently too! He is loving being back in action (read: sleeping) at the practice. Very partial to a belly rub when he can talk anyone into it!

06.01.2022 Mr Boss Man (AKA Charlie ) decided we needed another Chiropractic Assistant on our team - so, he called up his little mate, Darcy ! You may have been lucky enough to have seen Darcy on shift a month ago, to help us out. And he was nice enough enough to bring his mum along for the day too I think we can all agree - he did make a pretty cute CA

06.01.2022 STOP! And check yourself. How are you breathing right now? Is your mouth open? Are you nasal breathing? How often do you consider how you are breathing? Here is a nice little article on some ways to breathe better. 30 of them in fact! As let's face it, we are all different and some techniques are going to be of more benefit that others for some people.

04.01.2022 In work and play these days, we use smartphones and computers a lot! Everything we do is in front of us, and this can cause tension in your neck and shoulders and activate that fight or flight response . Posture pole exercises are a great way to calm, regulate and relieve tension in your neck, shoulders, upper back, and spine . A posture pole is a foam roller (full or half log) if you don’t have one at home, you can use a rolled-up towel. Lay your body along the ...foam roller, lay your arms out to the side, and bring your knees up, as demonstrated by Olivia ! You should feel a nice stretch in your chest and arms to begin, though for some people it can be pretty intense (in that case ask your chiro for some tips). Start by lying down for a couple minutes, though ideally up to 20 minutes a day is best. Pair this exercise with a meditation or breathing exercises and it makes for a great way to wind down at the end of the day, or before bed!

04.01.2022 No prizes for guessing Tinas favourite fruit! Seems a few of you have cottoned on to some of our faves - thank you! We are very grateful. Also lucky to live in this great fruit growing region

04.01.2022 As soon as we know, we will let you know!

03.01.2022 Blink and you miss it - another week gone! Here is a video from some of our Chiro friends in QLD with some exercises to help combat poor ergonomics and get us moving! Head to around the 8.30 mark of the video - and well get the Chiro team demonstrating them next week for you! (Hint - they arent so easy for us sometimes )

03.01.2022 Working from home... like a BOSS (dog) Tasks for today include: Approving website images (woof: I should be in them all) Barking at the dust and wind... Sitting on mum's lap for lots of naps and to ensure she gets minimal work done, but it doesn't matter because I am comfortable Stay tuned for the new website - Charlie edited edition And to all of you working at home with kiddies - I salute you! A needy doggy can make it hard enough. Last week he had to had some time locked out outside because he wouldn't stop barking and demanding attention. I can only imagine people frown upon doing that with real children

03.01.2022 Heeeeeeey Olivia! Olivia is our Excel guru. Anything that involves spreadsheets, numbers and logic - she's your girl. She's also known around the office for her big, friendly, warm and welcoming smile CLAIM TO FAME:... Whilst in school, I was awarded a scholarship to go overseas And locally - well Excel Guru of course If not a Chiropractic Assistant, then what? Speechie or GP (hopefully on the future cards) Go to playlist? I definitely think country coffee house (to Tina's disgust) Favourite part of being part of the Vivaci Team Different personalities and dynamics combined skills make an awesome whole to bring work.

02.01.2022 Oh hello Sydney! Meet Sydney. She's best known around here for her sarcasm and dry wit CLAIM TO FAME... I was awarded "Riverlands Most Photogenic Child 2001" in the 6-12 month old category If not a Chiropractic Assistant, then what? Sipping cocktails by the beach in my mansion Go to playlist? Chilled hits Favourite part of being a part of the Vivaci Team Simply having the opportunity to be part of such an amazing team!

02.01.2022 Happy Monday all! Here are a few facts to get your mind ticking for the week... Adults have the same amount of vertebrae as a giraffe! (26 to be exact) This is what provides us with so much flexibility.... The spine is extremely flexible. It can bend back far enough to make 2/3 of a circle. We are born with more vertebrae than what we end up with. Yes babies have 33 vertebrae and adults have 26!

01.01.2022 Happy Birthday Tina! Tina celebrated in style in Waikerie yesterday, treating everyone to some of her delicious cooking. Apparently the cakes were not up to her usual standard (and I did hear of 36 poor cupcakes not seeing the light of day), though I think these kiddos pictured here disagree! And because there is no such thing as too much cake - the team celebrated today with more!

01.01.2022 These times, they are a changing. Obviously your health and safety is our priority and our team are adapting to the continual updates in this rapidly changing environment. We are open - to serve you and taking all precautions as necessary. While we remain classed as essential, we will be open in our changed capacity so thank you for your patience and your trust. We will continue to keep you informed of any changes. ... We cant picture a time in life where everyone has been so affected by the same thing to a similar degree. Stress as we know can have a big impact on how we function. Sometimes the little things make a big difference to how we deal will stress. - Keep moving and active. We see there are plenty of CrossFit, gyms, pilates, and yoga providers with online options now if this is something you enjoy. Or maybe enjoy a simple walk and some fresh air. - Sleep is very important in maintaining our rhythms and regulation. Having a bedtime routine might help. - Eat real food. Were lucky living where we do - plenty of fresh fruit and veg stalls around with many of them with delivery options. - Meditation can be beneficial. Some of our team find a moving meditation more achievable, such as yoga or a walk. - Or simply BREATHE. Dont forget to exhale. - Many people find some supplements can be of assistance though this can be very varied so this might be a question you have for your Chiro or other health practitioners who have even more knowledge on this. Lets keep communication open. While it might be termed social distancing, we can still be connected. If youre isolating and have a question about some home care or are after some advice, feel free to contact us and we can organise for your Chiro to connect with you. Jess and Dan

01.01.2022 It's official - she's started! Happy first day in practice, Britt!
