22.01.2022 We asked Senior Account Manager, Holly Hamilton Green, why research is necessary for a healthcare PR agency. Here's what she had to say: "Research is absolutely crucial for a healthcare PR agency, not only for ensuring credibility & code compliance, but to allow us as practitioners to reach new conclusions. This enables us to develop the right strategies based on insightful information, rather than always sticking with the status quo. Research can take many forms, but as long as its done thoroughly, yet efficiently, it will be one of your most important tools throughout a career in healthcare PR."

15.01.2022 Watch this video featuring Federal Health Minister, Greg Hunt MP acknowledging Osteoporosis Australia & the Garvan Institute of Medical Research for their invaluable contribution to the nation’s bone health, to mark #WorldOsteoporosisDay today. Minister Hunt explained over 921,000 Australians have been diagnosed with osteoporosis, & many more may remain undiagnosed. It’s a condition not confined to, but overwhelmingly impacting older Australians. It can contribute to falls... & it can be made worse by falls in terms of broken bones & damage. That fragility can lead to great pain. This is an immensely important topic. That’s why together, with Osteoporosis Australia & the osteoporosis community, we developed the National Strategic Action Plan for Osteoporosis. We contributed $4 million, including $3 million for research into prevention, treatment & ultimately a cure, & in addition to that, there was $500,000 for Osteoporosis Australia & $500,000 for the work of the Garvan Institute. Now all of that leads us to where we want to go from here. Looking forward, the #KnowYourBones tool is immensely important. It allows for analysis & diagnosis that is in the reach of any Australian. It’s a simple to use, easy to understand, but important & valuable tool which can provide that assessment for any Australian, Minister Hunt said. Going forward, we’ve already seen 80,000 Australians use the Know Your Bones tool, but we would like to see many more. The osteoporosis community can help reach out & urge people to use the tool, to enable people to understand their own situation. If they do that, that can assist with prevention, treatment & ultimately, the search for a cure, said Minister Hunt. The Minister concluded his personal video commending & thanking everyone at Osteoporosis Australia & all Australians in the search for better outcomes for those with osteoporosis on this World Osteoporosis Day. #WorldOsteoporosisDay #Osteoporosis #KnowYourBones https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=3325406864174511
