17.01.2022 Every day is a gift. But some days are packaged better.

15.01.2022 Vivie was created in 2020 to help parents and families looking for a Support Coordinator (for children with special needs) who can listen to them and understand them. We are passionate about what we do and our priority is for everyone to be able to enjoy and integrate within the community. I was born in France. I have been in customer service for 25 years and for me clients come first. I have been involved in the disability sector for 20 years. I also employed some amazing... people with special needs back in France and helped them to integrate the community. When I moved to Australia 10 years ago, the gap of community integration was significant for me compare to my birth country. I was hoping that one day I would help to cover the gap. I was the carer for a little girl with special needs for a year. My role as a Support Coordinator is for me something important as I assist little people to get the best start in life. Being able to help them achieve their goals is the most rewarding part of being a Support Coordinator.

14.01.2022 https://www.facebook.com/groups/251107745755247/?ref=share The aim of the program is to provide indigenous and other NT children at a learning disadvantage - social, physical and emotional the opportunity to participate in meaningful hands-on activities. It is also the long-term aim that this therapy will ‘pop up’ around Darwin more and more, the sessions will include Didge playing, stories, dance and art. The children will participate in safe learning and play. ... Yellow Balloon art therapy sessions are also important for parents and care-givers too, as they provide support networks where parenting skills and tips can be shared in an informal and unintimidating setting. In terms of the disability sector, well, one small step at a time it’s about focussing less on different needs and more on making the world we have more accommodating to everyone regardless of ability, race or gender. ...and that’s a beautiful!

11.01.2022 Music therapy is an evidence-based clinical use of musical interventions to improve clients' quality of life. Music therapists use music and its many facets physical, emotional, mental, social, aesthetic, and spiritual to help clients improve their health in cognitive, motor, emotional, communicative, social, sensory, and educational domains by using both active and receptive music experiences. These experiences include improvisation, re-creation, composition, receptive met...hods, and discussion of music. Music transcends time and is present in all communities throughout the world. Given the universal nature of music, music therapy is uniquely able to reach individuals across all backgrounds and ages. It does not require any previous knowledge for individuals to meet their goals and be successful. Music therapy provides individualized treatments to help treat individuals with disabilities, injuries, illnesses or to improve their wellbeing. Some common music therapy practices include developmental work (communication, motor skills, etc.) with individuals with special needs, songwriting and listening in reminiscence. Evidence suggests that music therapy is beneficial for all individuals, both physically and mentally. Benefits of music therapy include improved heart rate, reduced anxiety, stimulation of the brain, and improved learning. Music therapists use their techniques to help their patients in many areas.
