23.01.2022 Sonja Ambrose portraiture is amazing. Thank you for these profile photographs. You have the talent to put the sitter at ease and capture their soul. These photographs reflect your fine art skills, such that profile photography becomes art in itself. Authorised by: Peter Gale, 16 Adelaide St, East Launceston
21.01.2022 Although its been an Easter like no other I hope everyone is having a safe Easter at home. I have spent my days in the garden pulling out nasturtiums and weeds. Today however I took the time to really enjoy the beauty of nature in this little garden that has become my sanctuary over the last few days. The last of the roses are out so I decided to take some inside. Their heavy scent and magnificent colour has brightened up this rather cold afternoon. I am pleased they are here with me in isolation. Thank you for staying home and keeping the community safe this Easter. Authorised by: Peter Gale, 16 Adelaide St, East Launceston
16.01.2022 This is an exciting week I have started my second last Master of Laws subject, Statutory Interpretation. This is the study of the interpretation of legislation and is extremely complex. Weirdly though I find it immensely interesting. In fact I love it. Drafting legislation is a craft of using words to construct the purpose of the Bill. However words can be clumsy, ambiguous and indeterminate, and at times the purpose can also be unclear. The ability to carefully read and understand legislation is so important in todays heavily legislated environment. In the Legislative Council the ability to know and understand statutory interpretation allows a member to ensure that an upcoming Bill is well written and serves the purpose that parliament intended.

11.01.2022 MEDIA RELEASE - 17 JUNE 2020 Vivienne Gale - Independent Candidate for Rosevears Silence is not good enough - Voters need to know... 1st August will see Rosevears elect their new Member of Legislative Council. Significantly, in September the newly elected Rosevears MLC will be required to debate and vote on the End-of-Life Choices (VAD) Bill. Yet, Rosevears voters do not know their candidates views on this issue and importantly whether they would support the Bill. Recently the End-of-Life Choices (VAD) Bill was carefully side-stepped in an article on candidates key election priorities. Voters need to know each candidates view and how they will vote. It is not good enough to stay silent. Rosevears has a right to know what they are voting for. Having followed the progression of the draft versions of the End-of-Life Choices (VAD) Bill, attended the extensive consultation process, and considered the robust debate generated, I am now in a position to say that the second consultation version of the Bill has been strengthened and the legislation is sound. It is well drafted, it provides the necessary protections and is worthy of support. I am in favour of the Bill. I instinctively feel that people faced with serious, incurable and irreversible medical conditions should have the right to choose. The End-of-Life Choices (VAD) Bill will be tabled in Parliament at the end of August, and in mid September Rosevears newly elected MLC will debate and vote on it. It is time the community is told what their Candidates views are on the End-of-Life Choices Bill and most importantly how they would vote. 11.01.2022 I would like to congratulate the Tasmanian Electoral Commission in moving the Election date out to 30 May 2020. Giving electors various opportunities to vote in a safer environment. 06.01.2022 Rosevears, Independence is worth voting for, ensuring that your MLC will vote for you and not their Political Party. Authorised by: Peter Gale, 16 Adelaide St, East Launceston

02.01.2022 An Open letter to the constituents of Rosevears from Legislative Council Candidate Vivienne Gale As you may have heard I am standing for the Legislative Council seat of Rosevears at the election currently due to be conducted on 30 May following the retirement of your M.L.C., The Honourable Kerry Finch. As an Independent candidate, not having the resources of the major political parties, I was intending to door knock as many residents of the Rosevears electorate as I could to ...introduce myself personally to you. However, due to the very real concerns within the community about the corona virus emergency, I have decided to abandon this method of face-to-face campaigning in the interests of community health. I do understand and appreciate that many in the Rosevears community would not be comfortable having someone whom they dont know turning up on their doorstep under the current circumstances. As an alternative to face-to-face contact I invite you to contact me electronically via my email [email protected] or alternatively, I am always happy to talk to you directly about any issue on the phone. My mobile phone number is 0418 109 702. I am certain that together, as a strong community, we can overcome this major health and economic issue. With kind regards Vivienne Authorised by: Peter Gale 16 Adelaide St, East Launceston.
02.01.2022 Wise words from Tassie Motor Sport legend Marcos Ambrose #stayhomesavelives
01.01.2022 I cant believe how quickly our world has changed. One moment I had my teeshirt on delivering brochures and now that is a distant memory. There is no more walking the streets, it is just bunkering down. We are so lucky that we have social media, telephones and the internet so we can still stay connected. Stay home, be safe and stay connected.
