10.01.2022 Autumn is a magical time in the Canberra region with the leaves turning golden, the air just beginning to feel crisp and the harvesting of giant pumpkins! Ok so maybe the last one isn't exactly typical, but it was a great excuse to make the 40min trip up the Hume Hwy to Collector's hugely popular country fair. Thousands of people flocked to see the giant pumpkins, sample the pumpkin icecream (and scones, pie, bread...) and generally enjoy the festivities. All the stalls were top notch, but our favourite parts of the fair were the Cobb&Co rides, the steam engine display and the wheelbarrow competition (pushing a pumpkin). There were many friendly doggy pals for Oppy to meet, including a sweet Italian Greyhound lady who he loved playing with. It was a hugely fun family outing and we can't wait to go back next year.
