16.01.2022 The HVC NSW is aware of a young (8 month old) neutered male Vizsla cross that is in need of an experienced and committed home. He has been in FOUR homes to date..., and has been passed from pillar to post, is boisterous and untrained. He is however - a loving sweet boy who COULD be something great! it is outside the charter of the club to accept responsibility for cross breeds... but we would like to see this young boy given an opportunity to be what he can. He is currently being fostered by a kind couple, who have not had Vizsla experience and they are astounded at his energy. I suspect there is probably some stress in that mix, as he has had no consistency and does not know what is expected. Anyone who takes him on will have to work hard to help him. If you have an interest in finding out more about this dog - please PM or contact Ros via the website www.vizsla.org.au See more

10.01.2022 Anyone's naughty 13 year old taken themselves for a walk in their checked coat in the Prestons area? He's found himself in Renbury Farm shelter :( HVCNSW will keep an eye on him to make sure he gets home OK

06.01.2022 **Adopted** This is very low activity page, most rehomes/rescues through the breed clubs are handled directly through the Clubs. But just posting info here to get the word out that there are two senior Vizslas for adoption at Lort Smith Dogs Home in Melbourne These two dogs were owned by a breeder who as passed away. They produced quite a lot of puppies between them. The family were offered assistance by the HVCV rescue co-ordinator (Lois) but declined club help. When they w...ere becoming desperate, Lois advised them to contact Lort Smith admin. This is a very good shelter - low kill, and willing to care for seniors. If you would like to consider either of these dogs - please contact Serena General Manager Adoption Centre Lort Smith 24 Villiers Street North Melbourne, VIC, 3051 T. (03) 9321 7264 The female was 11 in April, and is apparently very sweet. The male turned 10 in April. Neither have been indoor dogs - but could probably make the adjustment with a little help. So, if you think you could adopt one or even both of these senior dogs who deserve a break, please contact Lort Smith for more information. I believe they are being sorted out health wise to make them as fit as possible for the rest of their lives with someone, so might not be immediately availalbe - but call and register interest.

02.01.2022 EDITED 31.8.17 Re 9 yr old female There have been a number of enquiries asking about the four Vizslas currently needing to be re-homed. The HVCNSW has a process which is aimed at the very best outcome for each of the dogs we re-home. Whilst someone may be a great home, they may not always be the 'greatest' home for a particular dog. We have a significant number of people on our database who are keen to find an older Vizsla re-home, but we always take time to ensure we find t...he best fit. We are best helped by interested people completing the adoption questionnaire on the HVCNSW website (www.vizsla.org.au) Current status of these Vizslas: most are in NSW, but we organise re-homes to anywhere in Australia if they seem to be the best option. 3 yr old female - appears to have some significant special needs. She will be fostered and assessed and at this time is not available for rehoming. 9 yr old female - no significant issues, currently seeing interest in this girl. Please contact if interested in finding out more about her. Located in ACT, but relocation considered 2 yr old male - waiting on more information from owner. Described as 'untrained’. 9 month old male - some potential behavioural issues, will need work. Currently working with owner. I will get to people, but having been at medical appointments with family every day this week so far, as well as dealing directly with the owners of the dogs, I'm well behind in replying. If you have emailed - apologies, not sure when I'll get to answer. Ros

01.01.2022 Senior Rehome - (not the rescue dogs in Lort Smith) The Hungarian Vizsla Club of NSW is aware of an active 10 year neutered male who needs a new home. His long term female companion recently died and he is stressed without a companion. He needs a home where a)there is another dog, not too young or b) someone is home most of the time. He has no health issues that we have been made aware of, is fit and has normal social skills.... If you are interested in finding out more about Kaiser, please PM me (and let me know via this post that you have - cos I tend to miss some of my messages! ) or email me via the contacts on the HVC NSW website - www.vizsla.org.au I think he would make a nice companion for an older person, a retired couple or someone with another dog that would like a companion.

01.01.2022 Scout, Bean, Ruger, Milo and Zimba were rescued and rehomed around Australia through the combined efforts of the NSW, Victorian, and SA Vizsla Clubs with the assistance of local members.
