21.01.2022 My second Binna Burra Lodge Relocation wedding When Binna Burra burned down, the first email I received from Amelia and Hayden wasn’t even about their wedding. They knew I lived in Beechmont and they wanted to check us and our home were safe. It’s times like this when people’s personalities shine through and I knew in that moment that this was going to be such a beautiful wedding no matter where it was held. They secured a last minute spot at Rainforest Gardens and held t...he reception at their family home. It turned out so beautifully and was organised in such little time!! 11.01.2022 Congratulations Peta + Tory! On 24th April this year, Julie and I had the privilege of photographing Peta and Tory's first wedding. Tory's dad Fred was diagnosed with a terminal illness and it was incredibly important to have him present on the day of their wedding. With this news, they put together the most beautiful intimate wedding with close family on Fred's farm that he'd worked on his whole life.... They kept their marriage secret for almost six months until their planned wedding day on Saturday when they invited all of their loved ones to celebrate with them. The love and emotion we got to capture at both weddings was pretty incredible. There certainly wasn't a dry eye at either wedding (I'll admit to crying like a baby behind my camera). This is why I love my job. Capturing special, priceless moments like these. Shelley and Justin were due to get married at Binna Burra Lodge but due to the recent bushfires had to reschedule their entire wedding in just two months!! When I asked these guys if they had been stressed with this massive task, they said it didn't matter where they got married as long as they were getting married. 03.01.2022 Welcome to the world Phoenix This is a newborn* session that I’ve had my fingers and toes crossed for since June. The incredibly lovely Greg and Christine are such an inspiration with the strength they have shown, Phoenix’s arrival has been far from easy. (*arrived in June, expected September) Following this story has been very emotional to say the least. ... Greg and Christine have a beautiful angel baby - Mahalia - born at 22 weeks in May 2018 and unfortunately she was too premature to make it in this world. When I met with these two earlier this year prior to their wedding at Binna Burra Lodge, they told me of their loss and shared with me that they were pregnant with baby number two but wouldn’t announce it until they felt comfortable doing so. We did a pregnancy announcement photo on their wedding day announcing that bub was due in September. After 7 weeks of complete bed rest for Christine, Phoenix joined us earth side on the 19th June at 25 weeks weighing just 750g. Doctors are unable to do anything for baby’s born before 23 weeks and 5 days. When I caught up with Greg and Christine they spoke of the unease of not being able to comfort Phoenix from outside the humidity crib and watched on with the future of the little man so uncertain. At 1 month Greg got to cherish his first cuddles with Phoenix. At 2 months, Phoenix was just 2kg and wearing clothes for the first time. Countless operations later - after 144 days in hospital - on the 1st October Phoenix finally got to go home and meet his fur brother Herman. The strength Greg and Christine have shown has been pretty incredible - they’re still smiling and enjoy even the littlest mundane tasks like it taking an hour to leave the house - things that most parents will take for granted. And Phoenix has been nothing short of a miracle. I could not be happier for your beautiful little family Greg and Christine. Congratulations, you’ve earned it!!

02.01.2022 Congratulations Danielle + Nico!! My third Binna Burra Lodge Relocation wedding. If you want to know what sheer love is, this is it. When the news broke of Binna Burra’s devastating damage following the bush fire, like so many couples, Danielle and nico had to re-arrange their entire wedding in very little time. From this point forward, Danielle’s mum Laura and Nico decided to plan a surprise wedding!! All Danielle knew was the date. ... To honour Danielle’s late grandmother, they decided on a sunrise wedding at the beautiful Bailey's on Fernleigh. We all had a super early start yesterday morning (totally worth getting up at 2am for though!!) Each guest paved a romantic walk way of candles that led Danielle to a gazebo glowing in fairy lights. As the sun rose they said their vows and became husband and wife!! And if that wasn’t enough, a delicious breakfast at The Tintenbar Teahouse followed with an incredible waffle cake.
