15.01.2022 A very fine selection of VJAA members and committee have made the long trek to the annual Queensland Turbine Flyers (QTF) event this year being held at Goondiwindi Airport. We have just arrived a couple of hours ago and dropped trailers off at the feild. By the looks of the 'A' list of attendees this is going to be a great meeting. The weather forecast is excellent for the next 3 days. I will do my absolute best to post a stack of photos from the meet but for now its back to the Coronas, cheese and biscuits.

06.01.2022 Day 3 and another perfect start. Our final tally was 74 registered pilots and 135+ turbine powered planes. In 2 days we have so far had an estimated 500 flights and still another day to go. We have had the flight line open non stop from 9am to 5.30 pm each day.
06.01.2022 With less than 2 weeks to go, the VJAA Wangaratta 2016 jet event is shaping up to be a real treat. Weather forcast is 28, 27 & 27 over the 3 days with 11 kph winds on Friday and only 4 kph on the other 2. Clear skies with minimal cloud will make the smoke boys happy. Online registration is only open for another 5 days and will close on the 10th. There are still a couple of VJAA gift packs available but be quick. There is a great contingent of skilled modellers coming down fro...m QLD to join the ranks from NSW and SA, WA & ACT. This will lead to some serious head to head flying. Alot of work has been put into the pitts layout, model storage and catering, we have also extended the flying hours available each day. Also this is not a public diplay, so certifications can be processed any time. All of this should lead to an extremely relaxed enjoyable 3 days so we hope you can make it.
