07.01.2022 2020 VJMC Rally Official Event Cancellation Notice Dear VJMC members and Rally entrants, It is clear that a significant world event has presented us with serious challenges. While Australia does not yet display the same levels of infection as some other countries, the situation is now developing very rapidly. Public and political opinion is shifting to match. No matter how we may feel about the Coronavirus individually, there is no doubting the impact that it is having on o...ur world collectively. The 2020 Rally Committee has been monitoring the situation very closely. There are multiple factors under consideration regarding our rally, but Committee efforts have been focused toward three main goals: protection for the health of club members first and foremost; protection of the club’s public image; and the legal protection of club members and public alike through a very unstable period. We are sensitive to the fact that many members have already dedicated time, effort and funds into preparing for the 2020 Rally, and are anxiously awaiting communication from this Committee. The decision has thus been made to officially cancel the 2020 Rally. Rally officials will be in contact to organise refunds for any Rally entries received thus far. We encourage members to contact their accommodation suppliers to seek cancellations wherever possible. We sincerely hope that you are keeping safe and well during these uncertain times, as our club is no club at all without it’s most important assets all of us.
