18.01.2022 Amateur Radio is a hobby for people interested in the technical and social aspects of radio and electronics. Amateur Radio enthusiasts experimented with radio transmitters and antennas in the early 1900s and started the first AM radio stations around the world. On October 13, 2020 our local radio club based in Newcastle, NSW, Australia - The Hunter Radio Group - will celebrate it's 97th birthday. Congratulations to the HRG for staying active over such a long time.
