22.01.2022 Here's a useful map of online SDRs.

17.01.2022 For some years CRARC has been searching for an online membership management system which does all we need and doesn't cost too much, and after reviewing a numbe...r of options we have identified a very promising candidate: hamclubonline.com. As it says on the home page, "built by HAMs for HAMs" is a promising start and investigations by Carl, VK1KCM and Graham VK1GVC are very encouraging so far. Hamclubonline, aka HCOL, should be able to manage almost all the admin for members from new member applications, emails from the club to members, annual payment reminders and payments through Paypal, and much more. To perform a meaningful test, we plan to identify a small group of current members who are due to renew their membership at the end of June 2021 and invite them to be the guinea pigs on HCOL for the membership payment process. No doubt there will be some bumps in the road which require fine tuning but we're optimistic and the developers of HCOL are responsive to our queries so far. If all goes well then we will announce the change and then migrate CRARC members to the new system. This mass migration will probably not happen until the annual renewals rate drops off, maybe in August or September this year, and we will ensure that anyone who pays through the CRARC website will have that information transferred to HCOL. Suggested reading are the 'Features' and 'FAQ' tabs on the hamclubonline.com home page and any queries to [email protected]. Please don't bother the HCOL developers through the contact page at the website - that's our job if we have any implementation issues. And as this is a USA-based website, some terminology is a bit different from our Aus dialect of the language. Where you see the word 'roster' - we would call it a 'list’. Hamclubonline.com
